  • Publication number: 20080277086
Abstract: A frame for a twin-wire press is disclosed including pairs of side members including upper and lower side members arranged on opposite sides of the press, between which upper and lower rolls are attached, a plurality of transverse beams arranged between the pairs of side members which themselves are sections of flat sheet metal and spacers for mutually releasably connecting the side members with the sheet metal being formed so that it permits a degree of curing in the vertical plane to facilitate access to the space between the upper and lower rolls. A method for exchanging wire in a twin-wire press of this type is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20070187058
Abstract: The present invention relates to a twin-wire press (2) for dewatering of a fibre suspension, comprising lower and upper rolls (4, 6), an endless upper and lower wire that runs around the rolls and a first (8, 8?) and a second dewatering table, respectively, which forms a dewatering space (12) between the wires. AA roll arrangement (14) is provided in a press frame (16). A press and lift arrangement (18) is arranged to the first dewatering table 10 for vertically adjusting the first dewatering table. A link system (20) is arranged with a joint (22) at the press frame (16) and arranged with a joint (24) at an upper section of the first dewatering table, whereby the first dewatering table can be moved from and against the second dewatering table by movement by means of the press and lift arrangement (18).

  • Publication number: 20040091402
Abstract: A method of increasing the useful life of heating elements that consist essentially of molybdenum silicide and alloys thereof, wherein the heating elements operate at high temperatures in heat treatment processes and generally rest against the floor and/or the ceiling of a furnace. The heating elements contain aluminum to an extent sufficient to maintain a stable, slowly growing layer of aluminum oxide on the surfaces of the heating elements, and the heating elements are placed in direct abutment with an aluminum oxide brick material.

  • Publication number: 20040076916
Abstract: A gas burner of the type with which a burner head (1) is placed in an inner pipe (2) which is surrounded by an outer protective pipe. Fuel is delivered to the burner head through a first conduit (3) placed within the inner pipe, and air of combustion is delivered through the inner pipe. The first conduit (3) terminates short of the burner head (1) and the barrel surface of said conduit (3) is provided with holes (12). A further pipe (13) surrounds at least the perforated part of said conduit (3) and one end (14) of the further pipe (13) extends to the burner head (1) whereas the other end (15) is sealed against the conduit (3) so as to form a mixing chamber between the outside of the conduit (3) and the inside of the further pipe (13). A second conduit (17) and adapted to conduct a given amount of air to the mixing chamber.
