Patent number: 11919957Abstract: The disclosure provides a method for treating a subject afflicted with a tumor derived from a small cell lung cancer (SCLC) having a high tumor mutational burden (TMB) status comprising administering to the subject a monotherapy comprising an anti-PD-1 antibody or a combination therapy comprising an anti-PD-1 antibody and an anti-CTLA-4 antibody. The present disclosure also provides a method for identifying a subject suitable for treatment with an anti-PD-1 antibody or a combination therapy comprising an anti-PD-1 antibody and an anti-CTLA-4 antibody comprising measuring a TMB status of a biological sample of the subject. A high TMB status identifies the patient as suitable for treatment with an anti-PD-1 antibody or antigen-binding portion thereof. The TMB status can be determined by sequencing nucleic acids in the tumor and identifying a genomic alteration, e.g., a somatic nonsynonymous mutation, in the sequenced nucleic acids.Type: GrantFiled: October 17, 2022Date of Patent: March 5, 2024Assignee: Bristol-Myers Squibb CompanyInventors: Prabhu Seshaiyer Bhagavatheeswaran, Nicholas Allan John Botwood, Han Chang, William J. Patent number: 9360501Abstract: An electric field sensor includes one or more sensing electrodes connected to an integrated amplifier that bootstraps all parasitic capacitances at the sensor input to provide for a very high input impedance without the need for neutralization or other adjustments and calibration. The integrated amplifier for the electric field sensor further includes low-noise ESD/biasing structures to stabilize the DC-potential of the sensor with a minimum amount of added noise, leakage and parasitic capacitance.Type: GrantFiled: June 1, 2011Date of Patent: June 7, 2016Assignee: THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIAInventors: Yu Mike Chi, Gert Cauwenberghs, Christoph Hans Maier

Patent number: 6712563Abstract: The indexable cutting insert for turning is formed with a plurality of main cutting edges. Adjacent main cutting edges, which enclose an angle with one another, are connected via a cutting corner. The cutting corner has two corner sections arranged symmetrically to a bisector of the angle. The corner sections, in the region of the angle bisector, have a depression with respect to the adjacent outer contours. Compared with conventional indexable inserts, the number of corner sections that can be used independently of one another is doubled.Type: GrantFiled: September 25, 2001Date of Patent: March 30, 2004Assignee: Ceratizit Austria Gesellschaft m.b.H.Inventor: Hans Maier

Patent number: 5201421Abstract: A packaging container for holding a plurality of articles. Packaging containers of this kind serve as transport and display means for a plurality of packed articles. These articles are sold directly from the packaging container. The empty packaging containers are usually destroyed, because their material and their structure do not permit repeated usage. The invention is concerned with providing a reusable packaging container of this kind. The described packaging container comprises a base part (11) and a stack top (12) which is releasably connected to the base part (11) and which can be collapsed and/or folded together, preferably in such a way that the collapsed or folded stack top (12) can be placed on the base part (11). As a result, empty packaging containers can be returned in a space-saving manner and, if required, they can be refilled, which means they are reusable.Type: GrantFiled: January 28, 1992Date of Patent: April 13, 1993Assignee: Jacobs Suchard AGInventor: Hans Maier

Patent number: 5000144Abstract: In a valve-controlled internal combustion engine with direct fuel injection and a swirling air charge, a combustion chamber is located in the piston and is configured as a toroidal part ending in a throat-like cylindrical part towards the piston top. A narrow, ring-shaped overflow passage leads from the toroidal part to the cylindrical part of the combustion chamber. The proposal is put forward that the thermal and fluid-mechanical parameters be improved by placing the axis of the combustion chamber between the tip of the injection nozzle and the cylinder axis, and by varying the width of the ring-shaped overflow passage. The narrowest part of said overflow passage lying in the area closest to the tip of the nozzle, and further, the top of the center part is unsymmetrical, with a minimum distance to the injection jets at upper dead center of the piston.Type: GrantFiled: February 14, 1990Date of Patent: March 19, 1991Assignee: AVL Gesellschaft f',uml/u/ r Verbrennungskraftmaschinen und Messtechnik m.b.H.
