  • Patent number: 6676319
Abstract: In the outer sleeve there runs a threaded spindle which is mounted in a bearing sleeve (5) and on which a piston (30) is movable up and down. The outer sleeve (1) is in relation to its inner diameter Ad considerably longer than with known glue sticks. The ratio of the inner diameter Ad of the outer sleeve (1) to the length AL of the part of the outer sleeve which serves for receiving a rod-like adhesive mass (10) here lies in the region of 1:6 to 1:15. This however according to the invention demands that the threaded spindle is configured such that it simultaneously serves as a conveyor worm. Thanks to the special configuration of the piston (30) is spite of the great length of the threaded spindle there is achieved a bending-breakage stabilization.

  • Publication number: 20020195460
Abstract: A container for receiving and dispensing a fluid medium, in particular adhesive, comprises a container opening that is sealed by means of a membrane that can be pierced; a dispensing tube that can be connected with the container via the container opening for dispensing the fluid medium; and a screw cap for sealing the dispensing tube. There is a dispensing tube holder fixed on the container housing, in which the dispensing tube is axially supported between a starting position, in which its lower end is resting above the membrane to be pierced, and an axially blocked end position, in which its lower end has pierced the membrane. There is a servo-drive integrated in the screw cap for the dispensing tube. The servo-drive translates a rotational motion for opening the screw cap into a movement for displacing the dispensing tube into its end position.

  • Publication number: 20020175187
Abstract: A container for receiving and discharging a flowable medium comprises a resilient wall enclosing a volume receiving the flowable medium, an opening through which the flowable medium may be discharged when the volume of the container is reduced by applying pressure to the resilient wall, and an automatically resetting pneumatic device for indirectly applying the pressure to the resilient wall. This device may be an actuating hollow body comprised at least partly of a resilient material, the hollow body bordering on the resilient wall, and the resilient wall and hollow body together closing the volume of the container.

  • Patent number: 5971225
Abstract: A new method fills a dispenser with cyanoacrylate adhesive from the rear. The container is sealed by a pressed-in base section (4). The latter has a vent opening which can be sealed, preferably by a plug (68) pre-mounted on it. Preferably the contacting surfaces of the container and this base have an oval shape. In this novel method, the container is first filled, while the end is still open. The base is then pressed in, sealing it onto the container. In so doing, the air displaced, is released through the base vent. During the final phase of pressing-in, the vent is plugged, irreversibly sealing it. Also claimed is an adhesive dispenser, essentially as described, with further preferred detail of the seals, the pipette construction of the container and a slot valve in the plug unit. USE--A dispenser filling method and dispenser, especially suitable e.g. for a super glue.

  • Patent number: 5795436
Abstract: The invention relates to an adhesive stick having a plunger anchoring the stick composition and a sleeve surrounding the stick composition, in which the propelling device for the upward and downward moving of the stick composition, which device at the same time serves as the actuating element, is formed together with the sleeve and the plunger as a one-part injection moulding. This propelling and actuating element (1) is designed in the form of a plate and is provided with lateral reinforcing webs (2) and is bonded on both sides to the plunger plate (0); it has at the vertex a pressure plate (3). Anchorage elements for the stick composition on the plunger plate (0) are designed in the form of bristles (6).
