  • Patent number: 5096310
Abstract: A rolling bearing having separated bearing ring having held together by a dimensionally stable holding ring tightly fit over the ends of the ring halves. The axial holding of the ring halves is effected by a row of snap elements distributed about the circumference of the holding ring, the snap elements extending into annular grooves adjacent the ends of the ring halves. The snap elements are joined to the surface of the holding ring to enable bending at the joints thereof.

  • Patent number: 4652152
Abstract: A self-aligning bearing, wherein the bearing has an elastic plastic outer layer for engaging a bearing seat, so that it can be tilted. In order to ensure the alignment in a large range, elastically bendable substantially radially directed projections are formed on the plastic outer surface, and are supported on the radial surface of the bearing seat.

  • Patent number: 4547084
Abstract: A cage for roller bearings made of a plastic material consisting of two annular side parts and a plurality of circumferentially spaced crosspieces joining the side parts to form pockets for the rolling elements, said pockets including elastically deformable retaining projections for guiding said rolling elements and retaining them in the cage, said side parts having a U-shaped cross-section with axially outwardly directed shanks and said crosspieces consisting of two thin-walled, curved parts which are arranged around the periphery at a predetermined distance from one another, the outer surfaces of these parts being arranged to face each other.

  • Patent number: 4438992
Abstract: A two-piece rolling bearing cage with cage bridges provided on at least one cage section. The bridges engage in corresponding recesses of the other cage section and connect the two cage sections together. The invention comprises a snap pin at the free end of each cage bridge, each snap pin having a broadened head section and an undercut surface. Each of the recesses accommodates a snap pin which has a corresponding contact surface for mating with the undercut surface. The head section has a front recess means and each recess has a preferably conical projection which, after assembly of the cage sections engages the front recess means of the head section.

  • Patent number: 4387939
Abstract: A cage for a rolling bearing is formed of a plurality of cage parts. One of the cage parts is comb shaped, having axially extending cross-pieces adapted to be engaged by another cage piece, which may be a ring. Axially extending projections with enlarged ends are provided on the cage ring, at the inner circumference thereof, engaging correspondingly shaped recesses in the other cage part, thereby to enable snapping of the cage parts together. Recesses or projections are provided on the end of each cross-piece of the comb-shaped part, for engaging corresponding projections or recesses in the side ring of the cage, thereby to stabilize the cage in the circumferential and radial directions.

  • Patent number: 4262979
Abstract: In a multi-part plastic cage having a comb part with a plurality of axially extending webs adapted to engage a cover part, the cover part has recesses for receiving the ends of the webs, to absorb radial forces. The parts are joined by pins extending from one of the elements into recesses in the other, adapted to be joined by ultrasonic welding at positions spaced from the web ends, so that the pins are subject only to axial loading.

  • Patent number: 4236766
Abstract: A roller assembled from separately prefabricated parts has an outer tread body of an elastic material, a supporting body and, disposed therein, a rolling-element bearing, the supporting body holding the various parts together.

  • Patent number: 4155606
Abstract: A plastic cage for a rolling bearing is formed of a comb part having rivet pins formed unitarily therewith. Recesses are provided in the cage side rings, aligned with the bridges, in order to inhibit deformation of the comb structure. The rivets are formed in the ends of the bridges, and are ultrasonically riveted in corresponding holes in the cage cover.
