  • Patent number: 4451378
Abstract: 3-Isopropyl-2,1,3-benzothiadiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide (bentazone) is isolated from waste water, originating from its preparation and working up, by treating the waste water with an acid to bring the pH initially to 7.5-9.5, adding 0.2-0.5% by volume, based on the waste water, of a 40-60 percent strength by weight aqueous bentazone salt solution and heating the mixture for 15-30 minutes at 75.degree.-110.degree. C. The solution thus treated is then cooled and brought to pH 1-3 with a mineral acid, whereupon the bentazone precipitates in a form which can be filtered off.

  • Patent number: 4444009
Abstract: A hydrodynamic torque converter which includes a booster pressure line for introducing a booster pressure into an internal hydrodynamic circuit. An inlet orifice of the booster pressure line into the circuit, arranged in a zone of the outer torus of the converter, has a radius with respect to the converter axis of rotation which is larger than the smallers radius of the outer torus with respect to the converter axis of rotation. The inlet orifice lies at a turbine wheel of the torque converter.

  • Patent number: 4175184
Abstract: New and valuable process for the manufacture of 2,1,3-thiadiazin-4-one-2,2-dioxide derivatives by reaction of anthranilic acid amide or aminopyridine carboxamide derivatives with sulfur trioxide derivatives to give the sulfamic acid salts, followed by cyclization of these salts.

  • Patent number: 4138269
Abstract: A process for converting viscous reactive chlorine- and sulfur-containing production residues into solid products which can be dumped, wherein the said residues are treated with alkaline materials. In a preferred embodiment of the invention, chlorine-containing and sulfur-containing production residues which are viscous and still reactive, e.g. the residues obtained from the manufacture of plant protection agents, dyes or fine chemicals, are converted in a simple and efficient manner into solid products which can be dumped. The treatment according to the invention has the advantage that no further pollution of the environment by waste gases or waste water results.

  • Patent number: 4097521
Abstract: Amidosulfonic acids are manufactured by reacting Schiff bases first with sulfur trioxide and then with water. The compounds obtainable by the process of the invention are sweeteners (especially in the case of cyclohexylamidosulfonic acid and its calcium, sodium and potassium salts), and valuable starting materials for the manufacture of sweeteners, dyes and pesticides.

  • Patent number: 3986356
Abstract: A hydrodynamic torque converter for vehicles, particularly for passenger motor vehicles, with at least one pump wheel, one turbine wheel and one guide wheel supported on a free-wheeling device, in which the guide blades are automatically adjustable, when the guide wheel rotates, in dependence on the centrifugal force in the sense of a cascade opening with an increasing rotational speed.

  • Patent number: 3934414
Abstract: A hydrodynamic torque converter, especially for motor vehicles, which is equipped with a pump wheel, a turbine wheel and a guide wheel and with adjustable cascade at least at one of these wheels, preferably at the guide wheel; each blade of such wheel is thereby rotatably supported and is automatically adjustable against a spring force by the torque exerted by the circulating flow of the hydraulic medium.
