  • Patent number: 11925872
Abstract: A video game includes a single player mode where completion of storyline objectives advances the single player storyline. The video game also includes a multiplayer mode where a plurality of players can play on an instance of a multiplayer map. Storyline objectives from the single player mode are selected and made available for completion to players in the multiplayer mode, and the single player storylines can be advanced by players completing respective storyline objectives while playing in the multiplayer mode. Combinations of storyline objectives are selected from pending storyline objectives for players connecting to a multiplayer game for compatibility with multiplayer maps. Constraints can be used to determine compatibility.

  • Patent number: 5493080
Abstract: A device for sound suppression in a channel system for flowing gases or air, particularly an exhaust system or intake system in an internal combustion engine, includes at least one channel which is in communication with two volumes or apertures, wherein standing sound waves arise in the channel. One of the two volumes or apertures can be in the form of a main silencer or a filter housing while the other volume of aperture is in the form of a smaller silencer or an inlet pipe. The pipe, which may be in the form of a volume space, has one end, an inlet opening, in acoustical communication with the channel, while an opposite end is wholly or partly closed against the environment. The pipe is located outside the channel and an acoustic permeable filter is provided in the region near the inlet opening of the pipe. The filter has a flow resistance within the interval 5 Ns/m.sup.3 -2000 Ns/m.sup.3, preferably within the interval 30-300 Ns/m.sup.3.

  • Patent number: 5449866
Abstract: The invention relates to a sound-damping arrangement in a passageway system or pipe system for flowing gases, in particular in an exhaust system for internal combustion engines. The arrangement comprising at least one pipe which communicates with at least two chambers or openings, for example in a form of a muffler and/or a passageway/pipe-outlet, in such a manner that multiples of standing waves can arise in the pipe between both the chambers or openings. At least one tube is arranged in the pipe, with one end of the tube serving as in inlet while the other end of the tube is totally or partially closed. The inlet of the tube is arranged in, or in the vicinity of, one of the maximum sound-pressure regions of the pipe so as to dampen at least one maximum sound pressure.

  • Patent number: 4998906
Abstract: A tooth belt drive has tooth pulleys (5) with evenly distributed interruptions (22) in its teeth to temporarily interrupt the force excitation from the pulleys and to reduce the oscillation amplitude of the free parts of the belt between the pulleys.

  • Patent number: 4592509
Abstract: A blowing device for compressed air or the like comprising at least one supply channel (15) which is connectable to a source of compressed air and outlet (19) which is shaped to impart to the compressed air a jet in the form of a ring or part of a ring, and at least one communication channel (20) adapted to connect the inside of the jet with the atmosphere. The object of the invention is to provide a blow nozzle with a large contact surface between outflowing pressurized air and the ambient air in order to provide an airflow with a low sound level, a large momentum, high efficiency and reduce striking velocity against the object intended to be cooled, dried or blown clean. This has been attained in that the product of the ratio between the outer plus the inner circumference (O.sub.2 and O.sub.1) of the outlet (19) and its area (A.sub.out) and, on the other hand the inner diameter (D) of the outlet and its width (S), is at least 4 mm/mm.sup.2, preferably considerably larger than 4 mm/mm.sup.2.
