  • Patent number: 7326659
Abstract: The present invention provides a biodegradable extruded netting. The netting comprises a plurality of interconnected strands with at least some of the strands comprising a biodegradable composition comprising polylactic acid polymer and biodegradable plasticizer. In at least one embodiment, at least 10% of the strands are made of the biodegradable composition. The present invention also relates to a method for making biodegradable extruded netting. The method comprises extruding strands of polymeric material to form a netting wherein at least some of the strands are formed of the biodegradable composition.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 6692606
Abstract: Extruded net with at least some strands which melt away upon the application of heat while other strands maintain elastic, or other desirable, properties. This netting is advantageously combined with a fabric in which the low melting strands function as an adhesive, while the high melting strands maintain their designed properties in the final laminate product.

Inventors: Hans O. Cederblad, Mark W. Lorenson
  • Publication number: 20020125596
Abstract: Extruded netting having at least some elastomeric strands, the properties of which have been modified by stretch conditioning.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 6391420
Abstract: The invention is an extruded bicomponent elastomeric netting having unidirectional elasticity. Such a netting product is a non-woven article employing a non-elastic material such as polypropylene (10) in the machine direction strands and an elastic material such as a styrenic block copolymer (12) in the cross machine direction strands. The reverse arrangement, a product with “reverse strand distribution”, is also possible.

  • Patent number: 5885686
Abstract: Bicomponent elastomeric extruded netting having bidirectional elasticity is formed of one set of relatively elastic, extruded strands in one direction and another set of transverse, relatively elastic extruded strands. The strands are formed of relatively elastic resins.
