  • Patent number: 6668450
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for the production of an MID device. Proceeding from a conductor track sheet, which comprises a support sheet as well as conductor tracks arranged thereon, a plastic body is injection-molded onto this conductor track sheet. The conductor tracks have a surface having numerous microscopically small projections and depressions and are designed so as to thereby produce a positively locking connection between the conductor tracks and the plastic body.

  • Patent number: 6572954
Abstract: The invention relates to an electromechanical component which is configured as a sandwich-type structure. In the interior of said structure, a support layer consisting of foamed plastic is arranged. Said support layer is placed between covering layers which consist of compact materials. All layers are produced from hardly inflammable plastic material, for example LCP or PEI plastics so that it is not necessary to add any flame-retardant additives. The component can be configured in the shape of a slab but it can also have a more complex three-dimensional structure and can optionally be provided with mechanical functional elements. Accordingly to an aspect of the invention, the support layer of the component can consist of silicone. The composition of the inventive component provides a means for simplifying recycling a product at the end of its lifetime.

  • Patent number: 6366180
Abstract: The mains filter comprises coils with windings which are arranged on substrates, for example conventional thin printed circuit boards, as conductor tracks. A coil can comprise one or more substrates, which are in contact with one another in the case of a plurality of substrates. In the centre, the substrates have an opening through which a core is passed. With an appropriate number of windings, one substrate is sufficient for one winding, so that only one substrate per coil is required for the mains filter. The two substrates for the two coils can be of identical design, in particular, the input and the output for a coil being arranged on a substrate in the region of opposite corners. The core used can be a narrow E/E core or E/I core, so that the space requirement for the filter on a circuit board is very low.

  • Patent number: 6217787
Abstract: We are familiar with etching printed circuit boards chemically by providing a copper board with a mask and etching copper away chemically at those points where the mask is not present. This is disadvantageous, e.g. from environmental standpoints, because the chemical liquid is increasingly enriched with copper, and, when the liquid has been used, it can no longer be employed and is also difficult to dispose of. The invention is based on the object of providing a method of either applying or removing conductive material electrically.

  • Patent number: 6127911
Abstract: Transformer comprises a core (K1, K2), a primary winding (W1) and at least one secondary winding (W2), which are arranged as conductors on one or more layers of a flat carrier, and a coil former with a chamber system having chambers (C1, C2), which accommodate the layers with the windings (W1, W2). At least one of the chambers (C1, C2) is closed at least in regions, with the result that long distances for creepage paths are obtained. As a result of this, it is possible to adhere to existing safety regulations for the mains power supply isolation even with very compact dimensions and/or with full utilization of the width available for the conductor tracks. The chamber system can be formed from two or three plastic parts (P1, P2, P3) by mating. The layers with the conductor tracks are routed laterally out of the chamber system in order to make contact with terminals.
