  • Patent number: 7467121
Abstract: The invention concerns a method of establishing rules (14) for a specific device which is intended to be able to be used for generating decision support for decisions which determine the behavior of an entity (44) and/or for controlling the behavior of an entity (44). The device is, inter alia, arranged to present a decision support window which comprises at least one area (56) which represents a state (30), wherein this area (56) comprises names which identify different rules (14) which form part of the state (30). The method according to the invention comprises the steps that the device is run in a real or simulated version of said entity (44), that said decision support window is presented to a user, that the user makes decisions by inputting instructions, that the decisions which have been made by the user are analysed, and that the rules (14) for which the user has made decisions are determined or modified in accordance with the analysis which has been carried out.

  • Publication number: 20030014230
Abstract: The invention concerns a device for the control of the behaviour of one or more simulated vehicles. The device comprises different units (10, 12, 16, 18, 20) for supervising the device, for presenting information and for making it possible to input instructions. The behaviour of the vehicle is controlled with the help of a number of rules (14). Each rule (14) comprises one or more premises (22) and conclusions (24). The premises (22) are assigned an indicator which may indicate different conditions, viz. that the premise (22) shall be true, that the premise (22) shall be false or that it does not matter whether the premise (22) is true or false. The invention also concerns a method of generating rules (14) suited to control the behaviour of a real or a simulated vehicle. The generation may be done by detecting the behaviour of a real/simulated vehicle controlled by a driver. Alternatively, the rules may be generated without detecting the behaviour of a driver-controlled vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6419185
Abstract: An arrangement in a missile and a method for guiding the missile towards a moving target, for example, an aircraft, wherein the missile has information on its own position, velocity vector, and future velocity characteristic. The missile continuously receives information on the position and velocity vector of the target. The arrangement and method operate such that, a point of interception, at which the missile is expected to strike the target, is calculated from the information on the missile and the target, and a velocity vector of the missile is directed towards the predicted point of interception, which is continuously predicted on the basis of an assumption as to the future movement of the target, and a calculation of the time to impact.

  • Patent number: 6382554
Abstract: The present invention relates to an arrangement and a method for guiding a missile (1) towards a target (2). The missile has information on its own position, velocity vector and future velocity profile and continuously receives information on the position and velocity vector of the target. The invention is characterized in that from the information on the missile and the target a point of interception (A) is predicted at which the missile is expected to strike the target. A flight time is then calculated which indicates the time that it will take for the missile to travel to the predicted point of interception (A). In addition a fictitious point of interception (B) is calculated which is situated at a higher altitude than the predicted point of interception and the distance of which to that point is related to the calculated flight time. Finally the missile velocity vector is directed towards the said fictitious point.
