  • Publication number: 20140225592
Abstract: The invention describes a method for detecting isolated operation of power generation instillations (5) which are set up to generate electrical power and can be coupled to an interconnected power supply system (1) for feed operation. The power generation installation (5) operates in isolation with respect M the interconnected power supply system when no power is exchanged between the power generation installation (5) and the interconnected power supply system (1). The method has the steps of; recording the temporal profile of the maims frequency present in the region in which the power generation installation (5) is connected to the interconnected power supply system (1) and evaluating the temporal profile of the mains frequency in order to detect isolated operation.

  • Patent number: 8510090
Abstract: A conditioning device is described for power supply networks (2) having a network voltage measurement unit (3) which can be connected to a three-phase power supply network (2), having a computation unit (1) which is connected to the network voltage measurement unit (3) and is used to determine conditioning current values (K) and having an inverter unit (4) which is connected to the power supply network (2) and is used to feed in conditioning currents (IK) as a function of the determined conditioning current values (K). The computation unit (1) is designed for modeled simulation of a synchronous machine in order to determine at least one component of the conditioning current values (K) as stator currents of the simulated synchronous machine as a function of freely variable synchronous machine parameters, using the network voltages (UN), measured in three phases, of the power supply network (2) as input variables.

  • Publication number: 20100297520
Abstract: In an electrochemical energy conversion system with at least one electrically conducting component with at least two cells connected in series, at least one of the electrically conducting components is divided into at least two segments which are electrically insulated from one another, and a transfer plate, consisting of electrically non-conducting material with at least two conducting sections and/or areas is provided to conduct currents from at least one segment to at least one other segment. A transfer plate for such an electrochemical energy conversion system consists of electrically non conducting material and exhibits at least two electrically conducting sections and/or areas.

  • Publication number: 20040137464
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for the analysis of single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) in a target DNA. The present invention is based on primer extension on preferably amplified gene fragments using labeled, preferably fluorochrome labeled, dideoxynucleotides, thus allowing extension of only one nucleotide. Subsequently, extended primers are hybridized to immobilized antisense oligonucleotides. SNP analysis is then performed using a suitable detection method, preferably a multi-laser scanner, identifying the respective nucleotides by the label, preferably the fluorochrome label, and followed by analysis of the hybridization pattern.

  • Patent number: 6087629
Abstract: The invention comprises a control system for Arc Welding for steady and pulsed direct current welding with a single three-phase bridge converter (1) For steady direct current welding, output DC voltage (V.sub.d) and current (1.sub.d) are varied through the tapping of transformer (2). Finer voltages can be obtained through the variation of firing angles .alpha. of the thyristors of the converter (1). The contemplated control system can also be used for pulsed DC current welding with an impured dynamic response with less effort. The background current, which lies between the maximum and minimum firing angle .alpha. of the thyristors of the converter (1), is set by the transformation ratio of the transformer (2) and the pulsed current is superimposed thereon through the relatively rapid changing of the firing angle .alpha..

  • Patent number: 5621314
Abstract: The invention relates to a method and a device for determining the speed s/.delta.t) of vehicles, in which with the aid of at least two sensors (1, 2, 27, 28) spaced apart from one another (distance s), the time .delta.t=t.sub.1 -t.sub.2 required to drive over both sensors (1, 2, 27, 28) is ascertained. The object of the invention is to disclose a speed measuring method that is simple to accomplish, with which accurate measurement values are ascertainable, and in which external factors of the pavement can largely be ignored. This is attained essentially by using induction loops, instead of the usual piezoresistive pressure sensors, as the measurement sensors (1, 2, 27, 28).
