  • Publication number: 20230404385
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for visual field testing 11, which maps eye function of a test subject, the device comprising a display unit 17 displaying stimuli 23 to the test subject, and an eye tracking unit 19 detecting eye motions in response to the displayed stimuli. The display unit 17 displays at least a first 23 and a second 25 peripheral stimulus at different sectors in relation to a point of fixation 27 at the same time and the eye tracking unit determines which of the first and second stimulus is first gazed upon by the test subject. This allows different parts of the retina to compete with regards to retinal sensitivity and allows for a precise and efficient visual field testing.

  • Publication number: 20230255472
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a device for providing an eye metric, comprising a display unit (7), producing a visual stimulus (13) to an eye. An eye-tracking unit (9), measures the eye's movements in response to the stimulus, and an analyzing unit, outputting a metric result. The display unit (7) produces a moving stimulus with at least one varying stimulus parameter such as a symbol size, and the eye-tracking unit (9) detects when the eye loses visual contact with the stimulus. The analyzing unit provides a metric result based on the value of the stimulus parameter at the time when loss of visual contact was detected.

  • Patent number: 11624907
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method and a device for acquisition of a metric of an eye (1) located in an acquisition space (29). The device comprises at least one light source (11) configured to emit light towards the acquisition space, a camera (15) configured to receive light from the acquisition space to (29) generate image data, and an analyzing unit (14) configured to extract at least one metric from the image data. The camera (15) is configured to receive light from the acquisition space via at least two light paths (17, 19) which are differently angled with respect to the optical axis of the camera, the light of at least one path being received via a first mirror (21). The camera receives light from an overlapping portion of the acquisition space via the first and second paths, as to allow the camera to receive at least two representations of a single eye. This metric may be used for e.g. eye tracking or autorefraction/accomodation.

  • Patent number: 6392603
Abstract: An RF module having an RF antenna integrated with a RF shielding part is disclosed. The arrangement includes a tuning mechanism for tuning the RF antenna according to a Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR) specification to thereby tolerate bigger tolerances of the other components on the printed circuit board. More space on the printed circuit board is also obtained as well as avoiding RF losses in transmission lines and soldering connections to an external antenna. A metallic shield can be produced from a single metallic sheet or a molded metallized piece being formed to a desired shape, thereby forming an antenna radiator member integrated with the screening portion of the metallic shield, the antenna radiator member extending over or resting against a supporting element. The VSWR of the antenna radiator member can be tuned by twisting, rotating or shifting the supporting element, which rests on a printed circuit board underlying the antenna device and carrying the electronic components of the RF module.

  • Patent number: 6342869
Abstract: An antenna device for transmitting and receiving RF waves in at least a first frequency band and adapted to be arranged in a radio communication device. The antenna device comprises a support structure (26), at least one radiating antenna portion (27) carried by the support structure, a circuit carried by the support structure for processing analogue RF signals tapped from or fed to the radiating antenna portion, and coupling means arranged for connecting the circuit to the radio communication device. A radiation shielding device (28) of an electrically conductive material surrounds the circuit at least partially, and the shielding device (28) is functionally integrated with the radiating antenna portion (27) and forms an actively radiating part thereof.

  • Patent number: 6342859
Abstract: Extendable ground arrangement for an antenna system in a radio communication device to be operating at within one or more frequency bands. The ground arrangement includes support means (1), e.g., a slide or flap, carrying conductive ground extension means (4). The support means has fastening means (5) for slidably or rotatably connecting the ground extension means to the radio communication device, wherein the ground extension means is adapted to radiate at at least said first frequency and to couple, e.g., capacitively, to main ground means located in the radio communication device adjacent to said first edge. When extended the extendable ground means provides improved gain and SAR reduction.

  • Patent number: 6246371
Abstract: An antenna means (2) for transmitting and receiving RF signals, comprising: a ground plane (11) arranged to be connected to ground of the circuitry of a radio communication device and a conductive radiating structure (20) in the form of a band. The radiating structure has in a first end a feed portion (21) arranged to be coupled to circuitry of a radio communication device. The radiating structure has a second end which is a free end (29). The band has a first (A) and a second (B) surface, and is divided by bent portions into a number of sections Sn along its length. The band is bent or folded so that the first surface (A) of a first section S1 faces the first surface (A) of a second section S2, being adjacent to the first section S1, and the second surface (B) of a section Sm faces the second surface (B) of a consecutive section Sm+1, whereby a compact antenna means which can operate within a wide frequency band is achieved.

  • Patent number: 6075500
Abstract: Antenna means for a portable radio communication device is disclosed. It includes a radiating first element having a meander geometry being relatively flat and without any complete loops or turns, a radiating second element having a meander, helical, rectangular or straight geometry. The first and second elements interact to provide one or more modes of antenna operation and the first element feeds the second element in at least one operational mode. Further, an extendable and retractable feature of the second element is disclosed, as well as an antenna adapter for external connection of the inventive antenna means to an auxiliary antenna.
