  • Patent number: 6948018
Abstract: A method and a system exchange data between a program-controlled device, in particular a microcontroller, and a logic circuit. A control signal is transmitted from the program-controlled device to the logic circuit along a first line. A bidirectionally usable, second line is placed in the dominant state by the logic circuit if a data transmission is to be made by the logic circuit.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: September 20, 2005
    Assignee: Siemens Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Hans-Peter Lässle, Dietmar Schmid, Dirk Zimmermann
  • Patent number: 6774763
Abstract: An apparatus for activating and/or deactivating a security device, particularly an entry device for a motor vehicle, having a portable transmitter unit for wirelessly transmitting a coded information item which is received by a receiver apparatus and is compared with a prescribed coded information item, the receiver apparatus being capable of outputting an actuation signal to the security device if the two coded information items match, and wherein the codes of the transmitter unit and the receiver apparatus can be updated in terms of the currently coded information items to prevent unauthorized use of the motor vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6756878
Abstract: An invention relates to an apparatus for activating and/or deactivating a security device, particularly an entry device for a motor vehicle, having a portable transmitter unit for wirelessly transmitting a coded information item which is received by a receiver apparatus and is compared with a prescribed coded information item, the receiver apparatus being capable of outputting an actuation signal to the security device if the two information items match, and the receiver apparatus being connected to a mechanical device for operating the security device. In an apparatus in which unauthorized deactivation of the security device is reliably prevented, the receiver apparatus is disabled for the reception and/or evaluation of the coded information items and/or for the output of the actuation signal to the security device after the security device has been mechanically activated, the block being lifted after the security device has been mechanically deactivated.

  • Patent number: 6472998
Abstract: An improved receiver (5) of a remote control system, in particular for closing systems of a motor vehicle, and a method for operating such a remote control system are proposed. Modern motor vehicle closing systems are equipped with remote control systems which, in addition to the central locking of the doors, also perform so-called comfort functions such as the closing of the windows or of the sunroof. For safety reasons, such a comfort function must be terminated as soon as a signal fails to be received. If the remote control system is activated at the limit of its range, the response threshold of the receiver (5) may be undershot as a result of the transmitter (1) moving. This leads to undesired breaking off of the comfort function, or to jerky operation of the comfort function. According to the invention, it is therefore proposed to implement the response threshold of the receiver so that it is capable of being switched over.

  • Publication number: 20020003410
Abstract: In the case of a windshield wiper (1) which is intended for a motor vehicle and has a wiper motor (2), whose rotational speed is monitored, and a control element (10) for stipulating a desired wiping mode, sensors (4, 5, 6, 7) for detecting environmental influences are provided, which sensors are connected to a controlling means (8) for generating a rotational-speed command as a function of these environmental influences.

  • Patent number: 5963445
Abstract: In a method for the production of actuator signals as a function of sensor signals in an open-loop and/or closed-loop control system, the sensor signals are read into a data processing device and converted into internal input signals. The internal input signals are evaluated together with stored status information with the use of predetermined functions, whereby internal output signals and possibly new status information to be stored result. Actuator signals are derived from the internal output signals and fed to at least one actuator.
