  • Patent number: 11885384
Abstract: A pot-shaped composite brake rotor for motor vehicles, which combines at least one securing component as a hub interface with at least one friction ring component (as a friction partner for at least one friction lining. Distinction is made between a torque transmission function a fixing function between the paired components by the provision of a heat-conductive joint interface between the components on one side. The components are assembled coaxially with one another and joined rotationally fixedly in the axial direction so that the securing component serves as a heat sink for the friction ring component. At least one fixing element between the components is provided separately, and this fixing element substantially exclusively (nominal load) performs a fixing function by mutual form fit by a radially directed engagement behind at least one undercut. A press-fit connection s present for torque transmission between the securing component and the friction ring component.

  • Publication number: 20180037056
Abstract: A vehicle wheel system for motor vehicles includes a central wheel disc having an attachment flange for arrangement on a chassis component, and having a brake rotor which is provided coaxially with respect to a central rotational axis Ax and whose external circumference is secured to the wheel disc but is otherwise freely oriented in the radially inward direction. An aspect is a vehicle wheel system which is of lightweight construction and easy to maintain. The aspect is based on the brake rotor being secured in an exchangeable fashion by a plurality of support sections at its outer circumference with a detachable attachment and, for the purpose of conducting away heat, is secured in a thermally conductive fashion to a plurality of abutment sections on the circumference of the wheel disc, with the result that overall a modular design (MAB) is obtained.

  • Patent number: 6173819
Abstract: The present invention relates to a spot-type disc brake with a brake housing including a first side element, a second side element and a bridge element connecting the side elements and straddling a brake disc and with at least one arm arranged on the leading and/or trailing end, of the brake housing, straddling the brake disc and connecting the first side element with the second side element. The essence of the invention is that at least one side element is provided with a recess.

  • Patent number: 6035978
Abstract: A multi-part brake disk consists of a friction ring and a bowl-shaped holding part formed from sheet metal and connected in a form-fitting manner to the friction ring by plastic deformation. To ensure an especially simple and inexpensive connection, the holding part is provided with stamped tabs that are distributed over its circumference and project radially outward out of the peripheral face and can be shaped in the holding part by a simple stamping operation directed radially outward.
