  • Patent number: 5683741
Abstract: Method for the quality-controlled treatment of surfaces with a radiation-cured surface treatment, in which a finishing formulation is applied to the surface and is polymerically crosslinked under the effect of radiation. To enable the quality control to be conducted non-destructively and at reduced cost, it is proposed that the finishing formulation contains a proton-affinitive indicator substance analyzable by ion mobility spectroscopy and that the indicator substance escaping from the printed or coated surface after the radiation curing is analyzed by means of ion mobility spectroscopy.

  • Patent number: 4701220
Abstract: The invention relates to a one-component formulation, containing an additive which envelops paint particles, for precipitating, detackifying and coagulating underseal based on waxes, wax-like plastics and plastics dispersions and also synthetic resin paints in wet paint mist separators of paint-spraying installations, a sedimenting paint sludge being obtained, which formulation comprises, as the additive, an aqueous suspension of hydrated marble lime. The invention also relates to the use of the above one-component formulation for precipitating, detackifying and coagulating underseal based on waxes, wax-like plastics and plastics dispersions and also synthetic resin paints in wet separators of paint-spraying installations, a sedimemting paint sludge being obtained.

  • Patent number: 4687520
Abstract: The invention relates to a one-component formulation for detackifying and coagulating synthetic resin paint fractions in wet separators of paint-spraying installations, for causing the detackified paint sludge either to float or to sediment, which formulation comprises(a) 5 to 20% by weight of carnauba wax or raw montan wax,(b) 10 to 30% by weight of an aminoalcohol, aminoalcohol derivative or morpholine, and, if appropriate,(c) 0.1 to 50% by weight of an antifoam, each relative to the weight of the formulation, the remainder of the formulation being represented by water, and to the use of the formulation for detackifying and coagulating synthetic resin paint fractions in wet separators of paint-spraying installations.

  • Patent number: 4661527
Abstract: The invention relates to a one-component formulation for detackifying, precipitating and coagulating anti-chipping coatings and underseal based on waxes, wax-like plastics and plastics dispersions and also synthic resin paints in wet paint mist separators of paint-spraying installations, using an additive which envelops the paint particles, which formulation comprises, as the additive, an aqueous polyurethane suspension which produces a paint sludge floating on the surface of the water. The invention also relates to the use of the above one-component formulation for detackifying, precipitating and coagulating synthetic resin paints and anti-chipping coatings and underseal based on waxes, wax-like plastics and plastics dispersions and also synthetic resin paints in wet separators of paint-spraying installations, a floating paint sludge being obtained.
