  • Patent number: 6802462
Abstract: A hand shower has a handle having an outer part extending along a handle axis and having an outer face and a shower head forming at least one spray opening directed along a spray axis extending nonparallel to the handle axis. A pivot between the handle and shower head allows pivoting of the head on the handle about a pivot axis inclined at 30° to 90° to the handle axis, normally 45°. The pivot axis extends at an angle between 35° and 50° to the spray axis.

  • Publication number: 20040006818
Abstract: A shower head has a body having an inlet adapted to be connected to a source of pressurized water and an opposite end face formed with a plurality of arrays of spray openings. Respective sprayers in the body at the spray-opening arrays periodically block and unblock same and thereby cause pulsating streams of the water to issue therefrom.

  • Patent number: 6550079
Abstract: A shower has an elongated C-section holder tube having a laterally open full-length slot open at both ends, a bracket securing the holder tube to the wall, and a shower head. The head has a guide part snugly engageable in and slidable along the holder tube, a narrow neck projecting laterally from the guide part out of the tube through the slot thereof, and a spray part provided with spray holes and mounted on the neck outside the tube. A hose has an inner end connected to the guide part and communicating therethrough with the spray part and an outer end connectable to a source of water under pressure for spraying water from the holes of the spray part. The head is slidable along the holder tube with the hose extending from the guide part inside the holder tube and out of the open end of the holder tube.

  • Patent number: 6442775
Abstract: A shower fixture has a base adapted to be fixed to a wall, connected to a pressurized-water supply, and having a pressurized water outlet. A pair of generally parallel and spaced tubes have inner ends pivotal about an inner horizontal axis on the base and outer ends. At least one of the tubes is internally connected at the base to the outlet so that pressurized water can flow from the supply through the base to the tube. An element joins together the two tubes for joint pivoting. A shower head mounted between the outer ends is pivotal on the tube about an outer horizontal axis and is connected internally at the outer axis to the one tube so that water from the one tube can flow into the head.

  • Patent number: 5927727
Abstract: A sealing element, particularly for shut-off and regulating valves, comprising a tabular, piston-shaped or spherical shut-off body of a ceramic material having a hard material layer containing carbon and silicon applied to a sealing surface of the shut-off body by plasma chemical vapor deposition or plasma polymerization, in a coating chamber. The hard material layer comprises a bonding layer component applied to the sealing surface of the shut-off body and a subsequent sliding layer component. The carbon-containing bonding layer component has a first silicon content favoring adhesion to the sealing surface of the shut-off body and the subsequent carbon-containing sliding layer component having a second silicon content lower than that of the bonding layer component to achieve low coefficients of sliding friction and static friction.

  • Patent number: 5172862
Abstract: A shower head has a body having a wall and forming therewith a pressurizable compartment. This wall has an inner face in the compartment and an outer face and is formed therebetween with an array of throughgoing perforations. Respective flexible tubular extensions are provided on the outer face of the wall at the perforations. These extensions can be deformed to flake off lime formations adhering to the extensions. The extensions can be unitary with the wall, in which case the wall is made of an elastomer, or respective tubular liners in the perforations having outer ends projecting past the outer face can form the respective extensions. In this case each liner can have laterally projecting inner and outer ridges respectively bearing against the inner and outer faces of the wall. Furthermore each liner has a predetermined diameter of between 1 mm and 2 mm, preferably 1.2 mm, and each extension extends beyond the outer face by a distance generally equal to the respective diameter.
