    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for actuating a parking brake system in a utility vehicle. In an example, the parking brake system includes an operational actuator for actuating a parking brake and a control unit for controlling the operational actuator. When the utility vehicle is stopped, a stored brake-application characteristic is selected for the parking brake as a function of a current vehicle condition of the utility vehicle. Based on the selected application characteristic, the operational actuator is activated by the control unit in order to apply the parking brake. In addition, or alternately, when the utility vehicle is started, a stored brake-release characteristic is selected for the parking brake as a function of a current vehicle condition of the utility vehicle. Based on the selected brake-release characteristic, the operational actuator is activated by the control unit in order to release the parking brake.

    Abstract: A method for operating an automated drive train of a motor vehicle in which, upon actuation of a service brake up to a standstill of the vehicle, a drive connection between the drive machine and at least one drive axle of the vehicle is automatically disengaged by disengaging a clutch. During release of the service brake, the drive connection is automatically engaged by engaging the clutch. Based on a selected gear step, a desired drive direction of the vehicle is determined, and, during the release of the service brake, is compared with an actual drive direction. If the desired drive direction matches the actual drive direction, the pressure in the clutch is increased according to a first modulation characteristic curve. However, if the desired drive direction is different from the actual drive direction, the pressure in the clutch is increased according to a second modulation characteristic curve.

    Abstract: A method for operating a drive train of a motor vehicle in an inclined position, in particular an agricultural or municipal utility vehicle. A connection between a prime mover and at least one drive axle of the motor vehicle is automatically disconnected as part of a function upon actuation of a service brake for stopping the motor vehicle monitored by at least one sensor. To avoid uncontrolled backward rolling, provision is made that a maximum brake pressure applied to achieve or maintain the standstill of the motor vehicle is determined and monitored by continually measuring a brake pressure applied by the service brake. Upon the brake pressure falling below the maximum brake pressure minus a pre-definable pressure difference, the function is automatically deactivated and thus the connection is automatically re-established between the prime mover and the at least one drive axle.

    Abstract: A method of operating a drive-train of a vehicle having a drive engine, a motor vehicle transmission, at least one drive axle and a further axle that can be engaged to drive. In context of a function, a connection between the drive engine and the at least one drive axle of the vehicle is automatically interrupted, and the function is automatically activated when certain conditions exist. For the activation of the function, a service brake of the vehicle must be actuated and, as a condition, the vehicle must be stopped. To check whether operation of the vehicle in the all-wheel mode is necessary, when the function is carried out, a brake pressure is determined and, if the brake pressure exceeds a brake pressure limit value, the driving engagement of the further axle is carried out automatically as the function is deactivated for re-starting the vehicle.
