    Abstract: Powdery pearlescent pigment compositions comprising individual particles of a flaky pearlescent pigment coated with 1 to 50 weight percent of a solid polymer, optionally containing wetting agents, fillers, additional coloring agents, UV-absorbers or scenting agents, are produced by combining a suspension of a flaky pearlescent pigment with a solution of a polymer, possibly containing other substances, and subsequently depositing polymer on the pigment flakes.
