Abstract: The toothpaste for preventative oral hygiene contains a mixture of synthetically prepared precipitated silicic acid and perlite in addition to a solvent as cleaning body.A mixture consisting of glycerol (86%) and water is used as solvent.

Abstract: Formulations for oral care and dental care, which contain tin (II) salts and water, are stabilized against hydrolysis of the tin salts by the addition of certain cationic surfactant diamine salts. The additive fully preserves, or even potentiates, the inhibiting action of tin salts on plaque formation an dental caries. The formulations advantageously also contain a non-ionic, water-soluble addition product of ethylene oxide which further improves the stability.

Abstract: Oral compositions, such as mouthwashes, sprays, gels, oral foams, toothpastes and the like which include a combination of an antibacterial pyrimidine amine base, especially hexetidine, plus one or several zinc salts. This combination inhibits the formation of dental plaque synergistically, without staining the teeth.

Abstract: An identification plate of gold alloy is inserted in a small blind hole drilled into the crown of a tooth. The hole is then filled with a durable filler which hardens around the plate to embed it in a durable, heat resistant filling. The filling material can be colored so that it is readily located when identification is desired. For making the identification, the filler is dissolved away to leave the plate, which can be read by means of optical magnification.Also disclosed is an electrical device especially adapted for providing plate blanks with the desired identifying information.

Abstract: Agents, compositions containing said agents and methods are provided for covering and sealing denture injuries, occuring, for instance, in teeth being prepared to form cavities for the reception and adhesion of sealing agents and filling materials, the solid injury dressing being compatible with said filling material. The agents of the invention comprise an inorganic and/or organic cerium salt in aqueous and/or organic solution and application of said agents or compositions can be subsequently supplemented by treatment with a mineralizing solution.
