  • Publication number: 20130330797
Abstract: The present invention relates to biogas production processes with enzymatic pre-treatment, said processes comprising the steps of providing a slurry comprising a lignocellulose- and pectin-containing material, water and two or more enzyme treatments; allowing the two or more enzyme-treatment steps to degrade the lignocellulose- and pectin-containing material, and adding the degraded material to a biogas digester tank at a suitable rate and ratio to effectively convert the material to biogas in the digester.

  • Patent number: 5573948
Abstract: The method for processing of potatoes is characterized by the fact that the method is carried out in a potato processing plant, which comprises an oil separator, heating equipment and at least one enzyme reactor and which is modified in such a manner that it can also be used for processing of rape. It is not obvious that such modification is sufficiently small for achieving an economically sound method for processing of rape outside the potato season.

  • Patent number: 5573795
Abstract: In the method for treatment of potato fruit water the potato fruit water is subjected to a heat treatment to at least 125.degree. C. for at least 3 minutes, whereafter the heat treated potato fruit water is cooled to a temperature, at which enzymes are relatively stable, then enzymatically treated with a proteinase, and finally concentrated to microbial stability. Hereby a method for treatment of potato fruit water, which will enable a commercially sound utilization of potato fruit water, is provided.

  • Patent number: 5532007
Abstract: The method comprises a series of steps, with raw meat as a starting material, including a hydrolysis with a specified neutral and alkaline protease. The meat hydrolyzate exhibits excellent organoleptic properties and can be used as a flavoring additive to a soup concentrate.

  • Patent number: 4886672
Abstract: A process for the liquifaction of beets or chicory roots which includes washing and grinding the beets or chicory roots to provide a ground product; mixing the ground product with a mixture of enzymes that include SPS-ase, cellulase and cellobiase, as well as an acid so as to provide a pH of about 3 to 5.5; leaving the mixture for about 1 to 6 hours to accomplish a prehydrolysis of the ground product; grinding the prehydrolyzed ground product; allowing the prehydrolyzed ground product to hydrolyze for about 20 to 120 hours; and recovering the liquid hydrolyzed product.

  • Patent number: 4262022
Abstract: A material based on blood, in which the red corpuscle fraction has been partially proteolytically hydrolyzed and thereby decoloured, to be used as an additive to food products, especially meat, due to the nutritional and functional properties of this material.
