Abstract: The present application relates to a coated board of wood-based material and a method for coating a board of wood-based material, wherein the board of wood-based material is in particular a wall panel or floor panel or is intended for producing such a panel, comprising a front side and a rear side, wherein at least the surface of the front side is provided with a polymer coating and wherein the polymer coating has a hardness gradient, so that the hardness of the polymer layer decreases with increasing depth from the surface.

Abstract: In a tool holder system having a base support plate (1), from which a locating part (3) extends in the direction of a holder axis (5) for connection to a machine tool, in particular, a lathe, having a tool support plate (9), to which a cutting tool (43) can be attached via an intermediate piece (35), and having an adjustable guide (11) for setting the position of the two plates (1 and 9) relative to one another, the intermediate piece (35) laterally adjoins the tool support plate (9) and extends along both plates (1) and (9).

Abstract: A machining tool, especially a milling tool, includes a shaft-like holder defining a longitudinal axis (13). A seat (9) is provided in the front face of the holder for a cutting plate that can be inserted into the holder. The cutting plate has a coupling part for mounting in the seat (9) of the holder. The coupling part has three ribs which project axially from the end surface of the cutting plate that is opposite the holder and which extend radially. The ribs are provided for engagement in complementary grooves (31) configured in the seat (9) of the holder. Their side walls (37 and 35) form driving surfaces and support surfaces, which interact for transmitting a machining torque, or as axial position safety-catch, with corresponding surfaces of the flanks of the ribs of the cutting plate.

Abstract: A tube-forming apparatus in a bag-forming, filling, and sealing machine has a longitudinal seam heat-sealing device for connecting edge regions of the packing material belt that are placed against each other inside surface to inside surface. In order to achieve a sufficient sealing temperature in a short time, a heating body that is embodied in a lamella-like fashion protrudes like a tongue between the edge regions. In order to aid the heating body, similar heating bodies rest against the outside of the edge regions. The heating bodies have a U-shaped electric resistance wire with elongated legs which is embedded in a longitudinally folded casing made of a thin, temperature-proof woven cloth.

Abstract: The invention relates to a pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition for topical application, containing, in a suitable carrier, microspheres of polymers or of fatty substances filled with at least one active product, characterized in that at least 80% of the microspheres employed have a diameter of between 3 .mu.m and 10 .mu.m.

Abstract: There is obtained an increase in the throughput in the known BMA furnace or a BMA furnace chamber without changing the construction and dimensions already present by changing the lower part of the cooling head into a short tubular heat exchanger while maintaining the necessary temperature profile for the process by arranging the ceramic tubes in the furnace chamber in closer or less close fashion and/or by using ceramic tubes having different inner and outer geometries and/or structure.

Abstract: Topical compositions comprising an active ingredient selected from at least two of the following three classes of compounds:(a) N-methyl-substituted xanthines containing at least two methyl substituents;(b) .alpha.-estradiol and certain derivatives thereof; and(c) the mucopolysaccharideshave surprisingly beneficial effects on the skin and the scalp. These compositions may be prepared in the form of lotions, emulsions, ointments, gels and like forms for topical administration, and may be used to treat such conditions as acne, wrinkles, and androgen baldness.

Abstract: Iron blue pigment (DIN 55 906) is produced by white paste precipitation and subsequent oxidation of the white paste. Alakli or alkali metal ions i.e. sodium and potassium ions, cyanide or complex iron cyanide ions and iron ions are used as raw materials. The iron blue pigment according to the invention is characterized by a potassium content of 0.5-4.5% by weight, preferably 0.5-2.0% by weight, a sodium content of 0.2-1.0% by weight, an ammonium content of 2.0-4.5% by weight, preferably 3.0-4.5% by weight, a coloring power in accordance with DIN 53 204 and DIN 53 234 of 5-15% above the Vossen Blue 705 Standard and the following color intervals (determined in accordance with DIN 53 204 and DIN 53 234 in conjunction with DIN 6174, in relation to Vossen Blue 705 as standard):.DELTA.L: -0.7 to -1.5.DELTA.a: -0.5 to 1.5.DELTA.b: -0.6 to -2.3.DELTA.C: +0.5 to 2.

Abstract: A sliding window with a frame provided with a glazing adapted to be mounted in a wall of masonry, wood, or the like. The frame is composed of frame profiles joined at the corners and contains glass panes inserted therein. The glass panes are guided in grooves of the frame profiles and are horizontally displaceable. The frame profile members are constructed of an extrudable synthetic resinous material, with the profile members having a U-shaped cross sectional configuration made up of two projections fashioned as hollow chambers. An undercut mounting groove is arranged between the two projections and a web, connecting the projections, is formed of two juxtaposed hollow chambers. One of the juxtaposed hollow chambers facing a weather side of the window is provided with perforations for draining the mounting groove, with a second of the juxtaposed hollow chambers containing, if desired, an inserted reinforcing profile.

Abstract: An oxidized carbon black (gas black) is prepared within the MCC (medium color channel black) area showing primary particle sizes of an average diameter of 16 to 18 nm and a content of volatiles of at least 15% which, as secondary characteristics, has a specific surface area (BET) of 300 to 420 m.sup.2 /g, an oil absorption (stiff paste) conducted on carbon black powder of 430 to 560 g/100 g, an oil absorption (stiff paste) conducted on carbon black beads of 370 to 450 g/100 g, a pH value of 2 to 5, a nigrometer index of 68 to 72 and a maximum content of volatiles of 25%. The carbon black is used as a pigment in high jet black lacquers.
