  • Patent number: 5063647
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for handling further processing a continuously produced, unstretched honeycomb band is disclosed. To facilitate handling and further processing of the unstretched honeycomb band, the following process steps are used:a) the honeycomb band is reeled and temporarily stored as a reel or marketed as a separate commercial product;b) for further processing, the unstretched honeycomb band is unwound from the reel and stretched into the desired final shape; andc) the desired partial lengths are cut off from the continuous, stretched honeycomb band.

  • Patent number: 4992132
Abstract: The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for the production of an endless honeycomb band, consisting of flatly adjacent, partially bonded strips, which band can be drawn out by stretching in band longitudinal direction to form a honeycomb. Film sheets are continuously drawn off from a plurality of coils, provided on one side with equally spaced glue strips running mutually parallel in the sheet longitudinal direction and subsequently being laid one on top of another. The gluing is performed with a hotmelt adhesive, which is sprayed onto each film sheet in the form of a plurality of strips. The glue strips of the one film sheet are arranged offset with respect to the above-lying or below-lying film sheet by half a strip spacing in each case.

  • Patent number: 4733515
Abstract: In a fastening arrangement for louver slats arranged below one another on a facade supporting structure, with supporting profiles which extend perpendicularly to the longitudinal direction of the louver and to which are fastened brackets which hold the slats in at least two places and which have a leg resting against the supporting profile and a leg projecting at an angle from the supporting profile, assembly without a tool becomes possible and a specific distance between the slats is set automatically if the supporting profile (4) is designed as a rail, in the longitudinal direction of which the brackets (2) are held displaceably by means of extensions (3) on the legs (5) resting against the supporting profile (4), and if the extensions (3) have, at the bottom end of the bracket (2), a receiving space (15), into which a filler piece (19) of the lower bracket (2) can be pushed with a clamping effect.

  • Patent number: 4471589
Abstract: A window or door structure consists of a support frame and a retaining frame positioned thereabove mounted by means of frame connection elements and also includes a multiple insulating glass supported by these two frames, the weight of the glass being absorbed by the support frame. The glass engages a longitudinal bar of the support frame as well as a longitudinal bar of the retaining frame with its edge by an intermediary pane gasket. The retaining frame is displaceably mounted on the support frame by means of the frame connection elements vertically with respect to the frame plane. The two pane gaskets are provided, which form a steam tight closure on the total pane circumference.

  • Patent number: 4462459
Abstract: A device for air control for an air ventilated room is provided with an outer pane on its weather side and at its room side with an inner pane. An air channel is formed between the panes for the exhausted room air and a fresh air channel with a weatherside fresh air suction opening and a room side fresh air discharge opening is provided in connection with the air channel. The air channel is connected to a weather side exhaust air opening on its downflow side and is also in connection with a heat exchanger disposed in front of the weather side exhaust air opening through which the exhaust air can transmit heat to the fresh air flowing through the fresh air channel. The air control device is a compact structural unit and is exclusively disposed on the inside of the room. The compact structural unit comprises a separate air control box and a ventilator box.

  • Patent number: 4331066
Abstract: The air conditioning device for a closed space provided with a double-pane glass window comprises an air outlet channel formed between the inner and outer pane of the window, a sun drape arranged in the space opposite the inner pane. The spacing between the inner and the outer panes defining the width of the air outlet channel is reduced preferably to 40 millimeters at which value a well-defined, substantially laminar air flow takes place. The surface of the air drape facing the inner pane is profiled to reflect sun rays passing through the window at a high angle back to the window and for permitting the sun rays passing at a low angle to impinge against heat absorbing strips provided selectively on the drape.

  • Patent number: 4206248
Abstract: A process is disclosed for the production of a sun heat energy absorbing coating on a metallic substrate. The metallic substrate is pretreated for subsequent coating with a film of powder varnish and thereafter a coating based on a solid synthetic resin is deposited electrostatically or in a whirl sintering procedure. The coating consists of an inner brightening layer containing a metallic powder and an outer colored second layer absorbing the sun energy.
