  • Patent number: 5057034
Abstract: A distributor for a telecommunication system provides that a system cable leading to the switching equipment of the system has its conductors introduced into retaining slots of a fixing part of the distributor at the factory and supplied together therewith. The fixing part is a component of a retainer for a plug connector strip having insulation-piercing terminals that project at the rear or system side thereof. When the plug connector strip is plugged into the retainer, the ends of the system lines that are fixed in a terminally-associated fashion are pressed into the slots of the insulation-piercing terminals. The on-site assembly expense is thereby considerably reduced.

  • Patent number: 5033981
Abstract: A distributor strip has a service side provided with terminal elements for incoming lines that are to be frequently changed. The terminal elements for the outgoing lines that are to be seldom changed are arranged at the rear side of the distributor strip. The terminal elements are continued in contact pairs that terminate in separate contacts. The contacts are arranged near the rear side and can be separated by a respective pin of a separating plug inserted from the service side.

  • Patent number: 4901190
Abstract: A distribution apparatus for telecommunication equipment wherein a contact component part is fastened on one side of a grounded bearing part and on the opposite side, a safety plug for the protection of electrical lines against voltage surges may be plugged in. The safety plug includes surge arresters resting with one pole against a grounding plate whose end is bent off laterally in the plug-in direction and is designed as grounding contacts which are acutely bent back on themselves and flexible, that substantially project beyond the safety plug. The grounding plate directly contacts the bearing part, thereby providing a maximum of transmitting reliability with a minimum of construction expenditure. The grounding contacts engage holes arranged within the range of an angled section of the bearing part.

  • Patent number: 4616288
Abstract: A surge voltage protection device for attachment to a main distribution frame having connection terminals disposed in a plurality of parallel rows and permitting non-stripped connection of electrical conductors. The device of the present invention can be built into the main distribution frame or can be added later, and includes fuse strips which contain arresters cooperating with connection terminals of the main distribution frame, the arrangement being such that the device can be applied at the front side or back side of the main distribution frame.

  • Patent number: 4136920
Abstract: A wire insulation piercing clamping element is formed of punched out flat sheet stock having two wire clamping slots separated by a common center post, each of the slots having clamping areas of different width, the clamping areas defined at throat openings thereto by contours forming insulation piercing edges.

  • Patent number: 3945706
Abstract: A distribution frame for telecommunication exchanges or the like is described wherein the frame has a plurality of terminal elements forming an extended terminal board. The terminal elements are assigned to the lines coming in to and going out from the distribution frame, and they are arranged in rows and columns. Designation strips constructed from insulating plastic are attachable to areas of the terminal board along the rows and columns. When so attached, the strips project above the free ends of the terminal elements.
