  • Patent number: 4877825
Abstract: The invention relates to elasthane fibers which are protected against harmful environmental influences, particularly sunlight and combustion gases, by a synergistic stabilizer combination of(a) highly alkylated, phenolic antioxidants corresponding to the following formula ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 alkyl radicals, in addition to which R.sup.3 may be C.sub.4 -C.sub.6 alkyl radicalsand(b) oligomeric, (cyclo)aliphatic phosphorous acid esters (oligomeric phosphites) obtained by reaction of pentaerythritol, perhydrobisphenol A and, optionally, a mono- alcohol with monomeric trialkyl or triaryl phosphites.

  • Patent number: 4772677
Abstract: This invention relates to highly stretchable elasthane fibres (Spandex fibres) based on segmented polyurethane(urea)s with improved elastic properties and high resistance to microbial degradation, characterized in that the polyurethane(urea)s used for the synthesis of the elasthanes are prepared from mixtures of relatively high molecular weight copolyester diols in the molecular weight range of from 2,500 to 4,000 and relatively high molecular polytetrahydrofurandiols in the molecular weight range of from 1,500 to 3,000.

  • Patent number: 4725636
Abstract: In the production of elasthane threads by solution spinning of polyurea polyurethanes by conventional spinning processes, excellent stabilization against light and noxious gases are obtained if at least one component of the system to be spun contains tertiary amino groups and the substances used as antioxidizing agents are phenols of the kind which do not form colored nitro compounds.

  • Patent number: 4223147
Abstract: The invention relates to new methylol derivatives of 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidines, to their production and to their use as chemically attached stabilizers for polymers containing reactive OH- and NH-groups.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 19, 1977

  • Patent number: 4153596
Abstract: This invention relates to permanently stabilized polymers containing substituted piperidine derivatives chemically attached to the polymer molecule through O- or N-atoms. Compounds based on 2,2,6,6-tetraalkyl piperidines have now been found which, on the one hand, have a very high stabilizing activity and, on the other hand, contain one or more reactive groups through which they are able to react with the polymers to be stabilized. Stabilized polymers, preferably polyurethane elastomer filaments, films and coatings with a permanent washing-resistant, boiling resistant, acid-resistant, dry-cleaning-resistant and solvent-resistant stabilization based on 2,2,6,6-tetraalkyl piperidine light stabilizers are thus obtained.
