  • Patent number: 4739609
Abstract: The device for mowing and conditioning crops including a plurality of juxtaposed mowing rotors and a conditioner rotatably arranged around a horizontal axis immediately behind and extending substantially across the width of the mowing rotors. The conditioner includes a shaft with left and right pitched auger flights which join at approximately the longitudinal center of the shaft so that the cut hay is directed into a single narrow swath in the center behind the conditioner. Conditioning tools are secured along the outer edge of the auger flights and the conditioner is rotated in a direction causing an overshot movement of the hay from the mowing rotors.

  • Patent number: 4475454
Abstract: The invention concerns a container (1) for receiving rubbish, with a closure plate (3) disposed on an end, which plate can be mated with a rubbish injection device (4) having a hopper (5) and a ram (6). The closure plate (3) is made in two parts, the upper part (8) limiting a free space being vertically movable, and the lower part (9) limiting the filling opening being horizontally movable. The lower part (9) of the closure plate (3) can be connected with the face (16) of the ram (6) and thus serves as a front plate of the ram (6).

  • Patent number: 4067545
Abstract: A device for differentially braking a towing cable in a tow-type ski lift comprises a drum for carrying the towing cable, spring biasing means associated with the drum for biasing the drum in a cable winding or retraction direction, and a turbine-type hydraulic brake means for differentially braking the withdrawal and retraction motions of the tow cable, said hydraulic braking means comprising a bladed fluid impeller means rotatable with said drum and including a first and second set of impeller blade members, and a pair of stator discs having two sets of stator blade members cooperatively arranged adjacent the two sets of impeller blade members, one set of cooperating impeller and stator blade members being smaller in a radial sense than the other set of impeller and stator blade members, and the two sets being inclined relative to the axis of rotation of the impeller such that the braking action that occurs during cable withdrawal is greater than during cable retraction.
