  • Publication number: 20070026718
Abstract: A connector assembly includes a first elastomeric connector having a plurality of alternating elastomeric conductors and elastomer insulators. The first elastomeric connector has first and second contact interfaces spaced apart from one another and extending generally perpendicular to the conductors and insulators. The connector assembly also includes a second elastomeric connector having a plurality of alternating elastomeric conductors and elastomer insulators. The second elastomeric connector has first and second contact interfaces spaced apart from one another and extending generally perpendicular to the conductors and insulators. A holder includes a body extending between first and second opposing surfaces, and the body defines a first recess housing the first elastomeric connector and a second recess housing the second elastomeric connector.

  • Patent number: 5279139
Abstract: A method and apparatus for aligning both upper and lower horizontal rolls in a roll stand. More particularly, it relates to a roll stand having horizontal rolls with electromechanical and hydraulic adjustments of the upper roll, and electromechanical adjustment of the lower roll, as well as position sensors associated with the adjustments. The method allows for the automatic adjusting and centering or aligning of the upper and lower horizontal rolls in a such a roll stand.

  • Patent number: 4702099
Abstract: The rolls of a universal type mill stand are adjusted by moving the lower horizontal roll into position, directly or iteratively, by shifting the upper horizontal roll axially under utilization of the vertical rolls. In the case of conical rolls the latter operation is included in the iteration to obtain minimum spacing between the vertical rolls. The position of all rolls under rolling pressure serves as reference for further adjustment towards dimensions of the stock.
