  • Publication number: 20150063480
Abstract: For each base station of K base stations of a cellular communications network a maximum number of wanted data streams per carrier is decided that is to be scheduled to a terminal accessing the cellular communications network. The terminal has NR receive antennas and K is an integer equal to or greater than two. Information regarding the decision is signaled to at least one of the K base stations.

  • Publication number: 20150043542
Abstract: A method includes causing first reference information associated with a first cell or carrier and second reference information associated with a second cell or carrier to be sent to a first destination in a first time interval and causing at least third reference information associated with a third cell or carrier to be sent to a second destination in a different time interval.

  • Publication number: 20150029920
Abstract: An apparatus includes multi-flow communicating means adapted to perform a communication with a UE including a portion of a multi-flow communication to the UE; evaluating means adapted to evaluate the communication with the UE; and providing means adapted to provide a DTX/DRX information based on the evaluation. The DTX/DRX information is related to at least one of a discontinuous transmission state and a discontinuous reception state of the UE. The instructing means is adapted to instruct the multi-flow communicating means to send DTX/DRX activation request with respect to the at least one of the discontinuous transmission state and the discontinuous reception state according to the DTX/DRX information to the UE. The storing means is adapted to store a status information, wherein the status information includes the at least one of the discontinuous transmission state and the discontinuous reception state corresponding to the instruction by the instructing means.

  • Publication number: 20150029998
Abstract: The application relates to the removal of one of the links in multi-flow HSPA but the proposed method is also applicable to normal HSDPA operation during handover. In particular the application aims at minimizing the negative impact of a removed radio link, i.e. drop of packets and/or delays. According to the proposed method, in which the radio link to be removed is via a first Node B NB1 (RL Removal Req), the NB1 ends the pending data transmission and informs the controlling RNC about the data which was not transmitted, in particular in the form of the lowest sequence number in its buffer. Subsequently, the RNC decides, based on this sequence number, which data packets need to be retransmitted on a second radio link via a second node B NB2, and instructs NB2 accordingly (Data Forwarding).

  • Publication number: 20130272221
Abstract: Methods and devices for exchanging data in a communications network. The present invention refers to a method of exchanging data in a communications network, the method including establishing a plurality of connections between a network device and a mobile station; splitting a flow of data from a data source into a plurality of data flows corresponding to a number of said connections; and transmitting each of said plurality of data flows over a different one of said connections. The present invention further refers to a network device and a mobile station involved in the disclosed method.

  • Publication number: 20120020396
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method, system, apparatus, and computer pro-gram product for transmitting or receiving a plurality of time-duplexed transmission signal components via respective transmission or reception chains and respective antenna elements of a smart antenna system. A calibration signal is temporarily coupled into or from the transmission or reception chains via a selected one of the transmission or reception chains by using a portion of the transmission signal components, and a calibration signal parameter, influenced by said transmission or reception chains, is measured relative to a selected one of the transmission or reception chains. Then, a beamforming process of said smart antenna system is calibrated in response to a result of the measuring.
