Abstract: Pressure infusion apparatus (10) of the type that includes a chamber (13) for at least one infusion bag (21). In the chamber a pressure apparatus (18) applies pressure on the infusion bag to press out infusion liquid through an infusion tube (24). The pressure apparatus (18) includes a pneumatic pressure chamber (25) and a pressure source (27). Between the pressure storage chamber (25) and the pressure source (27) there is a pressure reduction valve (26) that significantly reduces the pressure in the pressure source (27) relative to the maximum loading pressure in the pressure storage chamber (25). The pressure source (27) includes an essentially unstretchable, air tight, flexible membrane (27a) which divides the chamber (13) into an infusion chamber and a pressure chamber (27b) and which presses directly on the bag (21). Abstract: A surgical trocar comprising a flattened oblong unit having at the front end an angled sharpened cutting edge, and at the rear end a device for removably attaching a tube for drainage or other purposes. The trocar's cutting edge produces fissure-shaped skin incisions which heal more easily than circular wounds, and the trocar's flattened shape reduces the risk of slippage and attendant damages to the patient and/or surgeon's hand from such slippage.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a catheter intended for postsurgical drainage of a wound area after a surgical incision and particularly such a catheter which is connected to a wound secretion receiver being provided with a vacuo. The catheter is characterized in that it at its front end is provided with at least one slot (6), which extends along the catheter (1), whereby throughopenings (9) are arranged from the bottom of the slot (6) to a lumen (2) arranged centrally in the catheter (1). Using the present invention no suction-in of tissue into the lumen (2) of the catheter (1) will occur but the catheter can be removed without applying any greater force and without obtaining any trauma in the wound.

The device comprises a number of sections arranged around the extremity which are to be filled with a gaseous medium, a valve between a first and a second section for allowing the first section to fill to a predetermined pressure before the second section is filled, the first section retaining the predetermined pressure as the second is filled, and an operation device for operating the valve to empty the sections.
