  • Patent number: 9012000
Abstract: A spacer for multi-pane insulating glazing, comprising a main body, which has mutually parallel abutment surfaces for panes, and an outer face and an inner face, which respectively connect the two abutment surfaces, the main body being made of plastic and having at least one metal layer on the outer face. The spacer also has a metal or a non-metal mesh, which is embedded in the main body.

  • Publication number: 20070056232
Abstract: A connection element (1) comprises a base plate (4) and two side walls (5, 6). The cross-section of the side walls (5, 6) is curved several times. The side walls (5, 6) have a first cushioning zone (7, 8) and a second cushioning zone (9, 10). This design enables the free ends (28, 29) of the side walls (5, 6) to be cushioned both parallel and perpendicularly to the base plate (4). The claimed connection element (1) is suitable for connecting the ends of metallic or plastic hollow sections.

  • Publication number: 20050214487
Abstract: A hollow plastic strip is placed in a bending device. The bend point is heated. The strip is bent and plastic materials is introduced into the bent area on both sides of this area to reinforce it. The hollow plastic strip with reinforced corners can be used as a spacer in multi-pane insulating glazing.

  • Patent number: 5962090
Abstract: The invention relates to a spacer for an insulating glazing assembly. The spacer has two mutually parallel extending contact surfaces for the respective glass panes and an adhesion surface facing away from the interior space between the glass panes. The adhesion surface connects the two contact surfaces. The spacer includes a metal layer disposed on the adhesion surface. The metal layer is cemented to the adhesion surface, and the amount of short-fibred glass-fibers in the plastic is selected such that the coefficient of thermal expansion of the base body is adapted to the thermal expansion of the metal-layer.
