  • Patent number: 4298731
Abstract: New and valuable substituted 2,1,3-benzothiadiazine compounds having a herbicidal action, herbicides containing these compounds as active ingredients, proceses for controlling the growth of unwanted plants with these compounds, and methods of manufacturing them.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 16, 1977
Date of Patent: November 3, 1981
    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft
Inventors: Gerhard Hamprecht, Gerd Stubenrauch, Hans Urbach, Bruno Wuerzer
  • Patent number: 4007221
Abstract: A process for the manufacture of nuclear-iodinated iodine compounds of aromatic character, by reaction of aromatic diazonium salts with hydriodic acid or its salts in aqueous solution in the presence of a reducing agent.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: January 16, 1976
Date of Patent: February 8, 1977
    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventor: Hans Urbach
  • Patent number: 3969389
Abstract: Aliphatic isocyanates are manufactured by thermal decomposition of aliphatic carbamic acid halides at a temperature not less than 25.degree.C above their boiling points in the presence of higher-boiling organic solvents and subsequent isolation of the resulting aliphatic isocyanate from the decomposition mixture. The isocyanates which may be manufactured by the process of the invention are valuable starting materials for the manufacture of plant protection agents, pesticides, dyes, synthetic resins and plastics, hydrophobic agents for textiles, detergents, bleaches and adhesives.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 3, 1975
Date of Patent: July 13, 1976
    Assignee: BASF Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Hans Urbach, Albrecht Mueller
  • Patent number: 3969439
Abstract: New and valuable dithiophosphoric esters which have a strong insecticidal and acaricidal action, and a process for controlling pests with these compounds.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 1, 1970
Date of Patent: July 13, 1976
Assignee: Badische Anilin- & Soda-Fabrik Aktiengesellschaft
    Inventors: Hans Urbach, Heinrich Adolphi
  • Patent number: 3969388
Abstract: Alkylisocyanates are manufactured by thermal decomposition of N-alkylcarbamic acid halides in the vapor state, at not less than 20.degree.C above their boiling points, in a plurality of reaction chambers, the bulk of the hydrogen halide formed in each reaction chamber being separated off. The products are starting materials for the manufacture of plant protection agents, pesticides, dyes, resins and plastics, textile waterproofing agents, detergents, bleaches and adhesives.
