  • Patent number: 5314296
Abstract: An arrangement is provided for a roller conveyor for efficiently accommodating two-way pallets. The arrangement includes a interim parking station in proximity to the initial and/or final end region of the roller conveyor. The interim parking station includes a parking surface characterized by a pair of spaced apart recesses to receive the forks of a forklift device. Thus, a two-way pallet can be picked up at a remote location by a forklift device in the conventional manner with the forks of the forklift device passing into spaces between adjacent scantlings of the pallet. The forklift device can then deposit the two-way pallet onto the scantlings. The same forklift device or a separate forklift device passing into spaces between adjacent scantlings of the pallet. The forklift device can then deposit the two-way pallet onto the scantlings.

The forklift device can then deposit the two-way pallet onto the scantlings. The same forklift device or a separate forklift device can then approach the interim parking station with the forks of the forklift device aligned parallel to the recesses in the parking surface of the interim parking station. The forks can be inserted into these recesses and beneath the bottom surface of the pallet to enable the two-way pallet to be transferred.

  • Patent number: 5209342
Abstract: A belt drive for a roller conveyor is provided to assure the firm application of the drive belt to the conveyor rollers regardless of manufacturing tolerances. Each pressing roller has a cylindrical base body as well as at least one belt-pressing disc adjoining it which extends annularly around the circumference of the cylindrical base body and obliquely to the axis of the pressing roller. The belt-pressing disc is arranged, as seen in the direction of the roller conveyor, in connection with the successive pressing rollers, alternately on the right and left of the pressing rollers. By the travel of the belt onto the obliquely developed belt-pressing disc the firm application of the drive belt against the conveyor rollers is assured.

  • Patent number: 4732265
Abstract: In an apparatus for accumulating conveying of goods constructed in the form of a roller conveyor with rollers (10, 12) in which via inflatable hose sections (42) a chain (28) is adapted to be brought into engagement with the goods to be conveyed, between the chain (28) and each hose section (42) a support and guide profile for the chain (28) is disposed in a U profile (14). The support and guide profile (62) is made in the form of a comb with teeth (64) and between every two teeth (64) the shaft journals (16, 18) carrying the rollers (10, 12) can be accommodated. By this arrangement the U profile (14) may be made very narrow.

  • Patent number: 4646909
Abstract: In this apparatus for separating a pallet which is to be extracted from a rack at a removal side on a roller conveyor, a stop latch is provided for retaining following pallets, said latch being operated by a control flap connected by way of a rod and a toggle mechanism. The toggle mechanism comprises two arms. To define the collapsed position of the toggle mechanism there is provided on the toggle mechanism arm a projection which bears against the pivot pin of the other toggle mechanism arm. The extended position of the toggle mechanism is defined by stops which in the extended position bear either against the pivot pin of the toggle mechanism arm or the pivot pin of the stop latch.

  • Patent number: 4063636
Abstract: A disconnectable driving roller for roller conveyors having individual driving roller groups isolatable from a common conveyor drive comprising a driving wheel having a dog coupling for connecting the driving wheel to the roller, which includes a first axially slidable coupling; pivotally mounted coupling lever; and an axially slidable actuating disc between said coupling lever and the first coupling, with the coupling lever and the actuating disc having cooperating cams. The arrangement is such that when the coupling lever is moved from a disengaging to an engaging position, the cam disc is moved and in turn moves the first coupling into its position connecting the drive wheel to the roller.
