  • Patent number: 11981465
Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed for processing structured tissue material to form a compressed bundle of folded tissues. A web of at least one ply of structured tissue is subjected to a destructuring operation before folding with itself or with another similar web to form a stack. The stack can then be compressed to form the compressed bundle at a pressure that is less than would have been the case, had the structured tissue not first been destructured.

    Inventors: Hans Wallenius, Ingela Ljusegren
  • Patent number: 11753225
Abstract: A package including a stack of absorbent tissue paper material and a packaging, wherein, in the stack, the absorbent tissue paper material forms panels having a length, and a width perpendicular to the length, the panels being piled on top of each other to form a height extending between a first end surface and a second end surface of the stack; the absorbent tissue paper material including at least a structured tissue material, the stack, when in the package, having a selected packing density D0 of 0.20 to 0.65 kg/dm3, and exerting a force along the height of the stack towards the packaging, the packaging encircling the stack so as to maintain the stack in a compressed condition with the selected packing density D0.

  • Patent number: 11247794
Abstract: A method is disclosed for forming a tissue bundle from a stack of folded absorbent tissues. The method includes the steps of forming a stack of folded absorbent tissues; compressing the stack to an initial density in a first compression step; wrapping the stack a first time in a supporting wrapper to form an initial bundle and maintain the initial density; subsequently applying a second compression step to compress the stack to a final density that is higher than the initial density; and wrapping the stack a second time to form a final bundle and to maintain the final density.

  • Patent number: 10875705
Abstract: A transport package including a compressible packaging and a packing configuration, the packing configuration including at least three individual stacks of absorbent tissue paper material, and the packaging maintaining said individual stacks in the packing configuration, the transport package forming a rectangular parallelepiped delimited by six outer surfaces, defining three transport package extensions extending along three perpendicular dimensions in space defining a length, a width, and a height of the transport package. A relative deformation of the transport package is defined for each of the three dimensions, being the relative shortening of the transport package extension along a selected dimension when the entire transport package is compressed with a deformation pressure of 15 kPa between two outer surfaces and along the selected dimension, wherein, for said transport package, the relative deformation along at least two out of the three dimensions is less than 10%.
