  • Patent number: 6547907
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for producing a rotationally symmetric body, especially a hose, specifically a large hose, by utilizing a rotating core as a supporting body for the inner layer; a device for storing and guiding the thread, the device being able to move back and forth in a parallel manner relative to the rotating core; and a molding head which can also move back and forth in a parallel manner relative to the rotating core and in which at least two reactive liquid or pasty components for the reaction are brought. The inner layer and the outer layer are constructed by means of the reaction mixture which exits the molding head. In addition, the thread is saturated with the reaction mixture during the production of the strength supporter, whereby the incorporation of the thread results during a reaction degree of no more than 50%. Useful method parameters are introduced.

  • Patent number: 6374863
Abstract: The invention relates to a tube arrangement, comprising at least the following components: a flexible double casing tube, with an inner tube (1) and an outer tube (2), forming a ring gap (3) which opens out into a widened cavity (43), in the vicinity of their ends; a connector (4), arranged at each end of the double casing tube, comprising a flange (42) and a fitting which, in the vicinity of the end of the outer tube (2) and of the cavity (43), has a first annular ring (6) and in the vicinity of the end of the inner tube (1), a second annular ring (5), a dividing chamber (10), between the flange (42) and the first annular ring (6) which is surrounded by a chamber enclosure (11), the chamber (10), furthermore, is connected to the cavity (43) and a drilling (12) exists in the chamber enclosure (11); a signal transmitter, which is arranged at each end of the tube, in the vicinity of the fitting, each one being connected to the drilling in the chamber enclosure by means of a connecter opening.

  • Patent number: 6213833
Abstract: The invention relates to a float (2) for buoyant hoses comprising at least one multi-layer foam body which surrounds the buoyant hose (1), whereby the foam body is composed of individual foam sheets (3, 4, 5). Inside a layer, a radial connection (6) is produced which adheringly joins two adjacent foam sheets (3, 4) to one another. In addition, the float comprises an axial connection (7) which also adheringly joins two adjacent foam sheets (3, 5) to one another from sheet to sheet. According to variant A, the radial connection (6) is exclusively produced by a layer made of a polymer material which expands when heated and occupies a large volume. According to variant B, both the radial connection (6) as well as the axial connection (7) are produced by a layer made of a non-expandable polymer material, whereby the individual layers are joined to one another for the radial and axial connection in such a way that each foam sheet (3, 4, 5) is completely single chambered.

  • Patent number: 6009911
Abstract: The invention concerns a safety hose made of elastomer material and/or plastics, in particular for conveying environmentally-harmful substances and comprising: an inner layer; an outer layer; and an embedded rigid carrier in turn comprising two rigid carrier systems, each of which comprises one or a plurality of layers. Disposed between the two rigid carrier systems is at least one separating intermediate layer, the rigid carrier system facing the inner layer having a low extensibility and high chemical resistance to the substance to be conveyed, whilst the rigid carrier system facing the outer layer has a high extensibility. As a possible variant, an adhesion system can be provided between the rigid carrier system and the outer layer. The adhesion system comprises a radial, helical or axial two-zone system, the one zone having a lesser adhesion effect than the other zone.

  • Patent number: 5722794
Abstract: A float (1) for floating flexible pipes has a multilayered foam body (3) that surrounds the floating flexible pipe (2), a textile cover (4) arranged on the foam body (3) and having in particular several transverse layers, and an outer covering (5) made of an elastomer, a thermoplastic elastomer or a thermoplastic material. The float (1) is further provided with a transverse textile reinforcement (6) that forms with the axis an angle from 75.degree. to 90.degree., in particular from 85.degree. to 90.degree..

  • Patent number: 5702132
Abstract: Pivotal link (1) as a connection piece between two construction parts, whereby at least one construction part is supported rotatable around its horizontal axis. The essence of the invention consists in thatthe pivotal link consists of a hose or a hose-like body made of elastomeric material, whereby an embedded strength carrier (4) is present between the hose core (2) and the hose cover (3), said carrier consisting of threads forming one or multiple layers and extending at an angle .alpha. amounting to zero degrees based on the axial direction of the pivotal link, or only insignificantly deviating from zero degrees with a crossed arrangement of the threads; and thatthe pivotal link is additionally provided with rings (7), the latter being arranged in the radial direction.
