Abstract: A foldable reflector umbrella has a flexible, cloth-like reflective element with an outer supporting and tensioning structure composed of a plurality of tensioning spokes which are preferably distributed evenly over the expanse and divide the reflective element into a number of umbrella segments essentially corresponding to the number of tensioning spokes. With the reflector umbrella in the opened state, the reflective element consisting of the number of umbrella segments forms a substantially rotationally symmetrical body with a light exit opening. The reflector umbrella has a cloth-like reflective element in the opened state that is at least partially gathered so as to form an uneven reflection surface. A reflector assembly including a reflector umbrella is also provided.

Abstract: A lighting unit, configured and adapted for illuminating subjects for photography and filming, has a connecting element that comprises, on the one hand, plug-in locations configured and adapted to receive at least two light sources, and, on the other hand, contacts configured and adapted to be connected to a generator, the contacts being electrically connected to the plug-in locations. At least two light sources are inserted into the plug-in locations. A substantially transparent protective cover is connected to the connecting element and at least partially encloses each of the light sources connected to the connecting element. One light source is designed as an HMI (Hydrargyrum Medium-Arc Iodide) light and the at least one other light source is designed as a flash tube. A lighting device including a lighting unit, and a reflector assembly with a lighting device, are also disclosed.

Abstract: A control circuit responsive to a flash activating signal of a camera for the synchronous or alternate activation of at least two flash devices is disclosed. Each flash device includes a flash generator including a voltage source and at least one flash unit. An input of the control circuit is adapted to couple with the camera and receive the flash activating signal. Outputs of the control circuit are adapted to electrically couple to control inputs of the flash generators. The control circuit includes a switching device adapted to drawn a supply voltage for the control circuit from the respective voltage sources in the flash generators.

Abstract: A reflector arrangement for the adjustment of shadow in the field of photography and firm includes inner and outer reflectors which are arranged inside each other and in the region of a central axis of the reflector arrangement, in addition to a carrier element for receiving two illumination means arranged one behind the other. The carrier element is constructed as a focusing unit for the lighting means so that the focusing unit is slidable axially in a longitudinal direction of the center axis of the reflectors relative to the outer reflector. The inner reflector is arranged in the region of the lighting means on the focusing unit. The invention enables the parts of hard and soft light to be adjusted on the reflector arrangement, such that any characteristics can be adjusted using one and the same reflector arrangement.
