  • Patent number: 6824846
Abstract: Packaging envelope or packaging bag consisting of at least two plies, of which the one ply is elastic and the other ply is a gas-barrier layer. The inner ply can consist of a food-compatible material, so that foods, in particular meat, can be placed in the packaging envelope or the packaging bag. For packaging, the envelope is expanded and the object then inserted. After the insertion, the envelope contracts through its flexibility in the direction of the center line of the envelope and automatically presses the air present between object and envelope out of the packaging. In the packaging of shapable objects, in particular meat, the envelope presses these objects, in particular the meat, simultaneously into an at least approximately circular cross-sectional shape through the exerted radial forces. The gas-barrier layer prevents the entry of air through the envelope material even for a lengthy storage period.

  • Patent number: 6558763
Abstract: Disclosed is a container, made by folding, with fold-in flaps, for packaging food. The container can be recycled economically, i.e. with a profit. The material consists of a metal sheet coated with a plastics skin which, when the metal is recovered, produces no residual matter or pollutants. The edges of the containers are welded to each other by the plastics coating. After bending open the flaps, the container can be easily laid flat by hand (thus reducing its volume) without it springing back and used containers can be collected in compact form in a recycling container and transported in the recycling container to the recycling facility where the metal is recovered by melting.

  • Patent number: 6321513
Abstract: The method relates to a method for packing articles and/or objects. Articles are packed in an elastic packing material (2) and the elastic packing material is stretched during the packing process. To achieve this, the packing material is arranged in a receptacle (1) in which a partial vacuum is produced. The packing material is stretched due to the pressure that the outside air exerts upon it. The item that is to be packed is then placed in or on the packing material. Once the vacuum has been removed, the packing material automatically reverts back to its original position by virtue of its own elasticity and is applied to the packing items. The invention also relates to a device to carry out such a method.

  • Patent number: 5583386
Abstract: The invention discloses a safety circuit for electrically operated devices, which turns on the device in question, based on its position and design, only if handling and posture by the operator is completely correct and proper and the circuit, moreover, is static and insensitive to outside influences due to the use of sensor switches.

  • Patent number: 5375331
Abstract: A knife consisting of a blade with a tang which is mounted in a handle. A guide, preferably made of plastic, in which the tang can be quickly moved to and fro by an oil-pressurized piston against the pressure of at least one spring, is provided in the handle. The piston runs in a cylinder provided in the handle of the knife. The oil line is connected with a central station located some distance away.

  • Patent number: 5337565
Abstract: A device for driving a tool in axial direction in the course of a vibration-like forward and reverse movement, which operates at high efficiency with a rapidly oscillating stroke frequency and can be used as an easily handled hand-held appliance because, due to the drive, an especially advantageous ratio of the weight and volume to the power exerted at output is feasible. This drive consists of a piston (8) movable non-positively to and fro, which feeds oil to a working piston (22) and moves the latter correspondingly to and fro against the pressure of a spring (25) acting on the working piston (22) and against the external air pressure. The tool to be drive is preferably connected with the working piston (22) by means of the counterpressure spring (25). Working cylinder (20) and master cylinder (9) are connected with each other by a flexible hose (14) to prevent any weight transmission to the hand-held appliance. (FIG.
