  • Patent number: 8366196
Abstract: The invention relates to a hinged fitting for vehicle seats, having a fixed fitting part and a pivotable fitting part which are pivotably connected to each other about a swivel axis (2). The swivel movement of the pivotable component can be blocked in a stepless manner by a blocking device. A first blocking element (4) is connected in a nonrotatable manner to the fixed fitting part, and a second blocking element (5) is connected in a nonrotatable manner to the pivotable fitting part. Thereby the blocking elements which are positioned opposite each other coaxially to the swivel axis (2) can be coupled and decoupled to and from each other in a nonrotatable manner by means of an actuating unit.

  • Publication number: 20100144481
Abstract: The invention relates to a hinged fitting for two components of a vehicle seat which can pivot with respect to each other about an axis (8). A first gear (1) is fixed on the first pivotable component, and a second gear (3) is fixed on the second pivotable component, and both comprise axially arranged gearing. The first gear (1) can be operatively connected to the second gear (3) by means of a roller chive which can be rotatably driven, wherein the second gear (3) comprises a gear differential with respect to the first gear (1). By means of the roller drive, the first component can swivel with respect to the second component by rolling.

  • Patent number: 4121802
Abstract: An adjustable automobile seat includes a pair of base members, a pair of carrier members for supporting a load, and support legs intermediate the base and the carrier members. An actuating handle is operative for vertically moving the carrier members relative to the base members to thereby adjust the height position of the seat. The support legs together with additional links form a four bar linkage intermediate the base and carrier members. The four bar linkage is operative for maintaining the torque for turning the actuating handle substantially constant during turning movement of the handle.

  • Patent number: 4101110
Abstract: An adjustable seat includes a seat element which is mounted in a motor vehicle for adjustment of the position thereof on two mounting arrangements each of which is arranged at one lateral region of the seat element and each of which includes a first guide track extending substantially horizontally and associated with the front region of the seat element, a support rail telescopically guided on the first guide track and pivotally connected to the seat element on the free front end thereof, an elongated second guide track inclined upwardly in the forward direction and associated with the back region of the seat element, and a support member connected to the rear region of the seat element and supporting the latter on the second guide track. The first guide track and the second guide track are arranged laterally adjacent one another at the associated lateral region of the seat element.
