  • Publication number: 20160075918
Abstract: A fluorine-free polyalkoxysiloxane, (a) having a degree of branching DB?0.4 calculated by: DB=(2Q4+Q3)/(2Q4+4/3Q3+2/3Q2) in which Qn is determined for n=0 to 4 using 29Si-NMR, Qn stands in each case for n=0 to 4 for the area below the 29Si-NMR signal of a (4-n)-fold alkoxylated Si atom, and the sum of Qn for n=0 to 4 is normalized to 100%, and b) produced using a non-hydrolytic polycondensation method, useful as an additive in coating agent compositions at an amount of 0.1 to 10 wt. % relating to the total weight of the coating agent composition, the coating agent composition containing at least one synthetic polymer which differs from the polyalkoxysiloxane, and in the case of a co-cross-linking reactive synthetic polymer, a crosslinking agent which differs from the polyalkoxysiloxane and from the synthetic polymer.

  • Patent number: 8486188
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for production of polyhydroxyfunctional polysiloxanes with branched polyglycidol polyether groups, in which firstly at least one allylic or methallylic starting material is reacted with at least one glycidol, such that an allyl polyether or methallyl polyether is formed, and then the allyl polyether or methallyl polyether thus produced is added to a Si—H functional alkyl polysiloxane in the presence of an acid buffering agent. The invention further relates to polysiloxanes, which may be obtained by said method and the use of the polysiloxanes in coating agents, polymeric coating masses and thermoplastics.

  • Publication number: 20110294933
Abstract: The invention relates to polyhydroxyfunctional polysiloxanes, which may be produced by the addition of at least one branched polyhydroxyfunctional allyl polyether to a Si—H functional alkyl polysiloxane, to methods for production thereof and the use thereof as additives in thermoplastics and polymeric moulded masses and the thermoplastics and polymeric moulded masses containing the same.
