Patent number: 6439019Abstract: A roller cage (6) is provided for a minimum of one work roller (3) of a tool for deep rolling of grooves or radii of a crankshaft bearing (1) where the work roller (3) at a section of its circumference is loosely guided by the roller cage (6) or inside a concave void of the roller cage (6). Portions of the roller cage (6) by which the work roller (3) is guided, consist of a material that dispenses solid lubricant to the work roller (3).Type: GrantFiled: December 22, 2000Date of Patent: August 27, 2002Assignee: Hegenscheidt-MFD GmbH Co. KGInventors: Alfred Heimann, Hans Zimmerman

Patent number: 6426574Abstract: In an air-cooled electrical machine having reverse cooling in a closed cooling circuit, a two-stage blade cascade for the optimum incident flow of cooling air to the rotor (4) and the rotor winding (29) is provided between a rotor cap plate (22) and a rotor shaft (28). The first blade cascade stage (30b) in the direction of flow is a deceleration cascade having pressure-generating properties, and the following blade cascade stage (30a) in the direction of flow is a deceleration cascade having deflecting properties.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2000Date of Patent: July 30, 2002Assignee: AlstomInventors: Stephan Hess, Christoph Hirsch, Michael Jung, Johann Schubert, Hans Zimmerman

Patent number: 5883448Abstract: In the case of an air-cooled electric machine with reverse cooling in the closed cooling circuit, a cooling arrangement is arranged in a foundation pit (10) underneath the machine and constructed in a modular fashion. It comprises a plurality of coolers (11) which are arranged independently of one another in the foundation pit (10) and separated from one another by separating walls extending perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the machine. The outlet openings of the coolers (11) are freely connected to cold-gas chambers (14, 16) between the machine housing (1) and stator laminated core (2). The inlet openings of the coolers (11) are freely connected to the outflow spaces of the two fans (12) at the machine end faces. This design permits rapid exchange and/or shutdown of a cooler in addition to optimum guidance of cooling gas.Type: GrantFiled: November 3, 1997Date of Patent: March 16, 1999Assignee: Asea Brown Boveri AGInventor: Hans Zimmerman, deceased
