  • Patent number: 9921119
Abstract: Method for checking a device for a vehicle for detecting an impact, in particular an impact with a pedestrian, by means of at least one impact-sensing means which is based on at least a first volume, in particular by means of an impact-sensing means which is based on at least one hose, a device having means for carrying out such a method and a corresponding system, in which at least one first variable is acquired, wherein the at least one first variable represents a pressure and/or a volume and/or a change in pressure and/or a change in volume in the first volume, and a result of the checking of the device is determined as a function of a profile of the at least one first variable.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: March 20, 2018
    Assignee: Robert Bosch GmbH
Inventors: Michel Walz, Alexander Herrmann, Denis Mader, Gunther Lang, Hansjoerg Markus Hild, Daniel Schoenfeld, Michael Schmid
  • Patent number: 9746492
Abstract: In a method for checking the plausibility of sensor signals, a first sensor element detects at least one first physical quantity and outputs it as a first sensor signal, and a second sensor element detects a second physical quantity correlated with the first physical quantity and outputs it as a second sensor signal. The first sensor element has a first reliability range having an upper limit and/or a lower limit, which range is related to the second physical quantity. The first physical quantity detected by the first sensor element is recognized as plausible if the second physical quantity detected by the second sensor element lies within the corresponding first reliability range of the first sensor element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: September 27, 2012
Date of Patent: August 29, 2017
    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH

  • Patent number: 9308876
Abstract: A method is described for generating an item of information for indicating an airborne state for a vehicle. The method has a step of receiving a rotational speed signal which represents a rotational speed of at least one drive wheel of the vehicle. The method also has a step of generating the information for indicating an airborne state based on a comparison of a profile of the rotational speed signal with at least one reference profile for the rotational speed signal.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: April 12, 2016
    Assignee: ROBERT BOSCH GMBH

  • Patent number: 8489288
Abstract: A method of activating a passenger safety arrangement of a vehicle, the method including reading in a roll rate of the vehicle and triggering the passenger safety arrangement when, at a first time, at least one roll rate value is present, which exhibits a positive sign and is larger than a roll rate positive threshold value and when, at a second time after the first time, at least one roll rate value is present, which exhibits a negative sign and is smaller than a roll rate negative threshold value.
