  • Patent number: 5143631
Abstract: The housing (2, 3, 4) of the filtering device has a cover (4), provided with a filtrate outlet (9), a cover that is detachable applied to a housing part (3) exhibiting an intake (7) for the suspension (8) to be filtered. A filter (11) is placed between housing part (3) and cover (4). A rotor (14), provided with stripping lamellae (17) for stripping the solids settling on the filter (11), rotates in the housing (2, 3). The filter (11) is formed by a flat, plane screen (11) placed perpendicular to the axis of a rotor (22). The intake (7) is aligned radially to the lamellae (17). For replacing or cleaning the filter (11), it suffices to remove the housing cover (4). The lamellae (17) are cleaned by the suspension flowing in the filtering device.

  • Patent number: 5042209
Abstract: The device has a storage vessel (2) that is connected to a compressed gas pipe (1) and whose outlet (6) discharges through a shut-off element (7) into a carrier gas pipe (10). Shut-off element (7) and the setpoint values of a first pressure regulator (23) in compressed gas pipe (1), as well as a second pressure regulator (24) in carrier gas pipe (10), are controlled by a program control device (33) with a program memory (34), in which several programs that are selectable by a selector (37) for charging the carrier gas stream with varying amounts of material and/or material concentrations are stored. Each program contains time-driven switching commands for opening and closing shut-off element (7) and two different setpoint values for first and second pressure regulator (23, 24).

  • Patent number: 5016456
Abstract: Hollow billet (13) in a first operation of a piercing mill (1, 2) is advanced over a piercer (10) placed on front end (5) of a piercer rod (6) and is retracted after removal of the piercer. During the advance of hollow billet (13) a lubricant is applied to the hollow billet inside wall processed immediately before by piercer (10) with the help of an inert carrier gas current through outlet openings (16, 17) on front part (14) of piercer rod (6). In this way the lubricant is distributed uniformly on the hollow billet wall in the first operation for processing in the second operation of the piercing mill and in the latter for processing in a third operation (in a reeling mill). Thus, no delay whatsoever occurs in the processing, i.e., the operations can be performed without interruption successively, and no environmental pollution by the agent occurs.

  • Patent number: 4735734
Abstract: Solid lubricants which are used in the non-cutting hot forming of metals. Lubricants containing graphite and polymers are presuspended in a colloid mill in water as a carrier liquid and immediately thereafter are subjected to a further mixing process in an intensive mixer, thereby being processed to a stable suspension.

  • Patent number: 4665936
Abstract: Process for the control of turbidity currents, especially of high temperature lubricants in the form of graphite and polymers, suspended in water, with a viscosity of 1,000 to 20,000 cP at a temperature of up to 250 bars and a current velocity of up to 120 m/sec. Closing and opening times of 2 to 20 milliseconds are maintained. Apparatus for achieving the process, which is a switching-off valve having closing and opening times of 2 to 20 milliseconds. The switching-off valve preferably is a plunger valve.
