  • Patent number: 6559425
Abstract: A device (100) for the thermal treatment of friction lining surfaces (19) (scorching) is characterized in that at least one infrared light source is placed in the heating station (10) for heating the friction lining surfaces. Short-wave infrared light of approximately 780 to 1400 nm with a maximum at 1200 nm is preferably used. A suction bell (11) and a fan (12) for removing the decomposition gas are above the heating station (10). The irradiation can take place in depression or in special chemical atmospheres. An infrared thermometer (20) supervises the temperature of the friction lining surfaces (19) and eventually causes an elimination (14) of parts. A cooling station (17) is following the heating station (10).

  • Publication number: 20030077430
Abstract: A nonwoven laminate material for mechanical closure systems, method for its production, and its use. The multi-layer nonwoven fabric laminate material has at least one layer of a polyolefin endless filament nonwoven fabric having a maximum tensile strength in the machine running direction that is at least as great as crosswise to that direction, and made up essentially of fibers having a titer of less than 4.5 dtex, as well as a second layer of a nonwoven fabric that is bonded to the first layer, which includes a sheet of crimped staple fibers made of polyolefins, and whose crimped fibers are coarser than the fibers of the nonwoven fabric of the first layer. The at least two nonwoven fabric layers are bonded to one another at the common interface by bonding in the form of a pre-determined pattern. With this laminate, it is possible to produce diapers that are also suitable for adult incontinence patients, which have a mechanical closure system, e.g., a Velcro™ closure.

  • Publication number: 20030059587
Abstract: A composite material, including at least one nonwoven fabric and a reinforcing material, thermally connected to it, situated in the form of regularly recurring patterns, which is derived from sheeting made of thermoplastic material. The new composite material may be used, for example, as an operating room coat, a textile outer material for one-time use, as a belt or in absorbent products, such as diapers or feminine hygiene products.

  • Patent number: 6267206
Abstract: The brake lining (100) for disk brakes comprises a carrier plate (10) and a friction material block (20) fixed thereon made of a pressed friction material, the friction material block (20) being fixed positively and/or nonpositively on the carrier plate (10), the carrier plate (10) being made of a hard amorphous plastic rigid up to the decomposition temperature which is composed of spatially close meshed interlaced macromolecules with a high mechanical strength like for example a duroplastic, the material of the carrier plate (10) gripping into the carrier plate free surface (20a) of the friction material block (20) and overlapping the side walls (21, 22, 23) of the friction material block (20) placed on the carrier plate (10) and being welded with the material of the friction material block (20).

  • Patent number: 5972427
Abstract: An adsorbent, supple, filter fabric composed of an air-permeable, supple, textile, carrier material having adsorbent particles fixed on it by means of a thermoplastic binding agent. The adsorbent particles are coated on their surface with binding-agent particles which are set apart from each other. The average diameter of the binding-agent particles is smaller than that of the adsorbent particles. The adsorbent particles are also bonded to each other by binding-agent particles. The coating of the carrier material with adsorbent material is over 200 g/m.sup.2. The fabric has a total thickness of 0.5 to 5 mm, and its suppleness permits a bending radius of not more than 5 mm able to be carried out free of destruction. The filter fabric is manufactured by first mixing absorbent and binding-agent particles while adding water.

  • Patent number: 5665148
Abstract: An adsorption air filter has a self-supporting shaped structure of adsorber particles of regular or irregular form, which are joined to one another by binder particles also of regular or irregular form. The melting range of the binder particles is less than that of the adsorber particles, and the binder particles are smaller than the adsorber particles. The adsorber particles have an average size of 100 to 7000 .mu.m. The three-dimensional structure of the air filter has substantially repeating units of one adsorber particle and one binder particle, without the presence of agglomerates. The binder must not spread over the adsorber surface below 100.degree. C. In the production method, adsorber and binder particles are mixed with water and heated in a closed mold under pressure; the water is then driven off and the shaped element is allowed to cool.

  • Patent number: 5387382
Abstract: In a process for manufacturing an interior fitted part for motor vehicles, such as an inside roof lining for automobiles, a staple-fiber formed fabric of a drawn polyethylene terephthalate matrix component and of a binding component is subjected at least once during the process to an annealing process, which increases the thermal stability of the fitted part. Also disclosed is a fitted part manufactured by this method.
