  • Patent number: 11794874
Abstract: Examples for low impact hat stringer fluid dams are presented herein. An aircraft structure may include a wing with a vent stringer coupled to the wing. The vent stringer may include a center portion positioned between a first section and a second section. The center portion of the vent stringer includes a slot. A vent dam may be coupled within the vent stringer proximate the slot in the center portion. The vent dam can include a sealant coupled between an integrated pair of baffles such that a combination of the sealant and the integrated pair of baffles prevents fluid communication between the first section and the second section of the vent stringer.

  • Publication number: 20230333555
Abstract: Systems and methods are directed to matching an available vehicle to a rider requesting a service. In one example, a computer-implemented method includes obtaining, by a computing system comprising one or more computing devices, a service request from a rider. The method further includes obtaining, by the computing system, data indicative of a current location of the rider; and determining that the current location of the rider is within proximity of an autonomous vehicle queuing location. The method further includes providing, by the computing system, data to the rider to provide for selection of an available autonomous vehicle at the autonomous vehicle queuing location. The method further includes obtaining, by the computing system, rider authentication data upon a selection of an autonomous vehicle by the rider; and, in response to obtaining rider authentication data, matching an autonomous vehicle selected by the rider to provide for performance of the service request.

  • Publication number: 20230334571
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure describe systems and methods for handling a loss involving an insured vehicle. A total loss evaluation and handling system receives vehicle state data and determines that a loss involving the vehicle has occurred. A total loss evaluator selects a set of total loss rules configured to determine whether the loss is a total loss. The total loss evaluator applies the total loss rules selected to the vehicle state data received and determines whether the loss is a total loss based on the total loss rules applied. A total loss handler obtains an estimated value of the vehicle and generates a settlement amount based on the estimated value. The total loss handler initiates a payment corresponding to the settlement amount as settlement for the total loss.

  • Publication number: 20230332807
Abstract: A heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) system includes a heating fluid circuit, a cooling fluid circuit, and a storage fluid circuit. A thermal system of the HVACR system absorbs energy from the storage fluid circuit and rejects it to the heating fluid circuit. The storage fluid circuit includes thermal storage tanks containing thermal storage material that can provide energy for heating or absorb energy for cooling depending on the state of the thermal storage material. Heating can be provided using the heating fluid circuit and the heat provided by the thermal system. Cooling can be provided using the cooling fluid circuit by absorbing energy from the conditioned space using a cooling fluid and rejecting energy from the cooling fluid to the storage fluid circuit including the thermal storage tanks. The thermal storage tanks can also have heat added to them using an air source heat pump system to provide sufficient storage for heating operations.

  • Patent number: 11789475
Abstract: “Just in time” operational techniques allow equipment of swimming pools or spas to achieve identified water temperatures at specified times. A user may supply information such as a desired water temperature (i.e. a temperature set point) and a time at which the water is desired to be at the desired temperature. After receiving the user-supplied information, software may account as well for certain environmental conditions to devise a suitable schedule for controlling heating of the water of the swimming pool or spa. Adjustments may be made to the schedule based on then-current water temperatures or other changed conditions.
