  • Publication number: 20250271328
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining the expected noise emissions of a gear pair, in which method the tooth flanks of a gear of the pair are measured and, from the measurement data thereby obtained, the deviation of the measured tooth flank surfaces from a predefined target profile of this surface is determined, and in which method, on the basis of this deviation, a simulation in the form of a contact analysis under load is carried out for the gear pair, wherein the contact analysis is based not on the deviation as a whole but rather on only a portion of the deviation specifically selected in the complementary space.

  • Patent number: 12222021
Abstract: A powertrain of a vehicle comprising an electric motor (16) having a drive shaft (11) wherein the drive shaft is oriented preferably perpendicular to the common axis (Aw) of the wheels (18) which the powertrain is intended to drive (i.e. rotate). The drive shaft of the electric motor is mechanically connected to the axles (20, 22) of the wheels, which are aligned with the common axis, via a transmission (10) having at least one pair of mating gears (12, 14), preferably with one of the pair of mating gears being an offset pinion (14), and with the reduction ratio of the transmission being in the range of about 6 to about 15 with the pinion having 2 to 6 teeth.
