Abstract: Aniline derivatives of the formula ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen, C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.2 -alkoxy are produced by reacting a N-(3-pent-2-enyl)-derivative of morpholine, piperidine or pyrrolidine with acrolein in the presence of an inert, aprotic solvent or in the absence of a solvent and heating the reaction product obtained to 100.degree.-400.degree. C. in the presence of a hydrogen-transfer catalyst and in the presence of an amine of the formula R--NH.sub.2, wherein R has the meaning given above.

Abstract: 2-Pyridinium-s-triazine salts of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents unsubstituted or substituted alkyl of from 1 to 12 carbon atoms, alkenyl or haloalkenyl, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently represent hydrogen, lower alkyl or haloalkyl and X.sup..crclbar. is the anion of an inorganic or organic acid. These salts are growth regulating agents especially for defoliation and desiccation of crop plants in order to facilitate harvesting. They may also be used as post-emergent herbicides.

Abstract: The present invention relates to new compositions and methods for the regulation of plant growth, especially for fruit and leaf abscission, acceleration of ripening and latex discharge in rubber trees and to new active substances of the class of .beta.-halogenoethyl-silanes.The active substances of the new compositions correspond to the formula ##STR1## wherein X is chlorine or bromine, A represents a radical --SR.sub.1 or --NR.sub.2 R.sub.3, B represents a radical --SR.sub.1, --NR.sub.2 R.sub.3 or --OR.sub.4, and C represents a radical --SR.sub.1, --NR.sub.2 R.sub.3, --OR.sub.4 or the methyl or benzyl group. The symbols R.sub.1 to R.sub.4 are chosen from substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, cycloalkyl, cycloalkenyl, phenyl and benzyl groups, R.sub.2 can also be hydrogen and R.sub.2 together with R.sub.3 and the adjacent nitrogen can form a heterocyclic ring system.

Abstract: Certain esters of 1-hydroxy-cyclobutene-3,4-dione and mono- and diesters of square acid have been found to be useful in the regulation of plant growth, especially as post-emergent herbicides, as plant growth inhibitors and desiccants.New esters of this type and their manufacture are also described.

Abstract: Agents and methods of using 4,6-(subst.)diamino-5-nitro-pyrimidines, most of which are new, which possess plant growth inhibiting, in particular herbicidal properties. The agents may also contain salts of the said pyrimidine derivatives.Preferably the 4,6-(subst.)diamino-5-nitro-pyrimidines are also substituted in the 2-position, especially by methyl, ethyl, methoxy or trihalomethyl.

Abstract: The present invention relates to partially polymerized products obtained by hydrolysis of .beta.-halogenoethyl-silanes and to the hydrolysis of the said monomeric silanes with water or an aqueous medium. The dimers are the preferred final products. The invention is further concerned with agents and methods for the regulation and control of plant development, especially for promoting fruit abcission as well as resin and latex flow in trees, using the said partially polymerized .beta.-halogeno silane hydrolysates as the active ingredients.
