  • Patent number: 6262808
Abstract: There is printed on the same substrate on which the design is to be printed and under identical printing conditions a colour atlas that comprises a number of colour charts each of which comprises a number of colour fields that represent the printing one on top of another of three selected printing inks from a limited set of predetermined printing inks with different grades of the grid percentages of the grid screen printing stencils for the three printing inks, which stencils form the basis of the printing operation. The printing original is divided into a large number of, especially punctiform, image areas, and the colour impression is determined for each of those areas. The grid percentages of the grid screen printing stencils are determined for each area by comparison with the colour fields of the colour atlas. The necessary grid films are produced with reference to those grid percentages, and the grid screen printing stencils for the printing inks involved are produced from the grid films.

  • Patent number: 5255350
Abstract: A process for computing a dyeing or printing recipe corresponding to a given shade, whereina) a given shade in a FTa*b* colour space is defined, where FT is a depth of shade value which, irrespective of hue, defines points of equal colour strength which by definition lie in a plane of the FTa*b* colour space as defined, and a* and b* are values of the CIELab colour coordinate system,b) the FTa*b* colour space for each depth of shade plane is segmented into triangular levels by means of the a* and b* values of the dyes to be used for colour matching,c) in each defined depth of shade plane the given a* and b* values correspond to a specific ratio of the dyes of the suitable segment of the colour space, andd) the ratio of the dyes of the suitable segment is obtained by an iteration method. The process makes it possible to formulate dyeing and printing recipes accurately in accordance with a given reference shade.

  • Patent number: 5106388
Abstract: There is disclosed a process for printing cellulosic textile material with reactive dyes which contain at least one monohalotriazine radical, which process comprises printing said material, without the addition of urea, in a single step and wetting the dried printed goods with water for the fixation step. The novel process gives level and deep prints of excellent appearance without the use of urea.
