  • Patent number: 9583050
Abstract: A display apparatus includes a receiving module, a processing module, a selecting module, a power circuit, and a backlight module. The receiving module receives a pulse width modulating (PWM) signal from an external component. The processing module processes the PWM signal in a predetermined time duration. The selecting module outputs the unadjusted PWM signal to the power circuit in the predetermined time duration, and outputs an adjusted signal after the predetermined duration. The power circuit generates a first driving current for driving the backlight module to emit lights in response to the unadjusted PWM signal while the processing module processes the PWM signal. The backlight module remains a predetermined brightness after the predetermined time.

  • Patent number: 9582433
Abstract: A disk array flushing method and a disk array flushing apparatus. The method includes acquiring a sequence, which is according to physical addresses of logical units, of the logical units in a same redundant array of independent disks (RAID) group in a disk array, and sequentially flushing, according to the sequence of the logical units, concurrent flushing input-outputs (IOs) of the RAID group to the logical units in the RAID group. According to the disk array flushing method and the disk array flushing apparatus, by uniformly scheduling logical units in a single RAID group and performing flushing according to a sequence of physical addresses, it takes less time for a magnetic arm to jump back and forth for addressing, and influences between RAID groups are prevented by means of independent control over the RAID groups, thereby improving flushing efficiency of a disk array, and increasing throughput of the disk array.

  • Patent number: 9580380
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for preparing diamino-dicyclohexyl methane (H12MDA) by hydrogenation of diamino-diphenyl methane (MDA). In the process, 4,4?-MDA used as the starting material is firstly hydrogenated to prepare 4,4?-H12MDA. When the activity of the catalyst is reduced, the feed is switched from 4,4?-MDA to the mixture of 2,4?-MDA and 4,4?-MDA, and then when the conversion is stabilized, the feed is switched to 4,4?-MDA again. The deactivated catalyst is activated on line by switching the feed to the mixture of 2,4?-MDA and 4,4?-MDA. 4,4?-H12MDA having the trans-trans isomer content of 16˜24 wt % is produced, and the mixture of 2,4?-H12MDA and 4,4?-H12MDA is also produced, wherein the content of 2,4?-H12MDA in the mixture is 4˜15 wt %.

  • Patent number: 9582633
Abstract: Among other things, techniques and systems for 3D modeling of a FinFET device and for detecting a variation for a design layout based upon a 3D FinFET model are provided. For example, a fin height of a FinFET device is determined based upon imagery of the FinFET device. The fin height and a 2D FinFET model for the FinFET device are used to create a 3D FinFET model. The 3D FinFET model takes into account the fin height, which is evaluated to identify fin height variations amongst FinFET devices within the design layout. For example, a fin height variation is determined based upon a proximity pattern density, a fin pitch, a gate length, or other parameters/measurements. A voltage threshold variation is determined based upon the fin height variation. This allows the design layout to be modified to decrease the variation.

  • Patent number: 9582390
Abstract: A method for testing computing hardware detects the current time as being within a predetermined time period and transfers virtual machines (VMs) from a plurality of physical machines to other physical machines as targets according to a load balancing strategy. The load balancing strategy sums of a load ratio of one physical machine including the VM and a load ratio of one physical machine as a target for the transfer; if the sum of the two ratios is less than a preset load ratio, the VM-transferring physical machine is put into a standby state when the transfer takes place as long as the current time is still inside the predetermined time period. Physical machines which are in the standby state and have not been tested are awoken, and the awoken physical machines are connected to the server for testing.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for a attaching a first substrate to a second substrate are provided. In some embodiments, a first substrate has a protective layer, such as a solder mask, around a die attach area, at which a second substrate is attached. A keep-out region (e.g., an area between the second substrate and the protective layer) is a region around the second substrate in which the protective layer is not formed or removed. The keep-out region is sized such that a sufficient gap exists between the second substrate and the protective layer to place an underfill between the first substrate and the second substrate while reducing or preventing voids and while allowing traces in the keep-out region to be covered by the underfill.
