    Abstract: A process comprises continuously adding a first stream and a second stream to a sulfonation vessel, wherein the first stream comprises aminoethanol sulfate ester (AES) and the second stream comprises an aqueous solution of sodium sulfite (Na2SO3). The process comprises continuously mixing the AES and the aqueous solution of Na2SO3 in the sulfonation vessel, thus producing a mixture. The process comprises continuously subjecting the mixture to heat in the presence of an inert gas, thus converting the AES to the taurine via sulfonation. In an aspect, the AES has a residence time of no more than four hours in the sulfonation vessel. In an aspect the heating step is conducted at a temperature of at least 115° C. and a pressure of at least 200 psi.

Compared with a method for installing a drain valve assembly from the inside of a battery cabinet in the prior art, the operation of fixing the drain valve assembly through the installation port in the present application is more convenient, the drain valve assembly can be disassembled without moving battery cells in the cabinet, and thus convenience of disassembly and assembly of the drain valve assembly is improved.

    Abstract: System and method for integrating sensing and communication (ISAC) systems with backscattering radio frequency identification (RFID) tags are disclosed. An access point employs a communication beam to serve a communications device while using a sensing beam to detect an RFID tag. Under the total transmit power constraint of the system, sensing and communication beams are designed by considering tag detection and communication specifications. Zero-forcing is used to design the beamforming vectors, and a convex optimization problem is solved to determine the power allocation between sensing and communication. Minimizing the total transmit power and satisfying tag detection and communication specifications are accomplished by joint beamforming design. To resolve this, we re-formulate the non-convex constraints into convex second-order cone constraints.
