    Abstract: A method for interpolation includes receiving an input image having a plurality of pixels and estimating an edge direction proximate a first pixel of the input image using a first technique from a plurality of discrete potential directions. Interpolating pixels using a substantially arbitrary scaling factor proximate the first pixel based upon the estimated edge direction and interpolating pixels using substantially arbitrary scaling factor proximate the first pixel based upon another technique not based upon the estimated edge direction. The interpolated pixels are determined for an output image having more pixels than the input image based upon the interpolated pixels of step (c) and step (d).

The power bus path is divided into multiple main power output paths each being controlled by a remote ON/OFF switch to determine whether to perform output, and multiple standby power output paths each has a conversion unit located thereon.     Abstract: An image enhancement technique includes a filter that receives an input image and provides a low-pass filtered image that maintains a substantial number of edges therein. The low pass filtered image is provided a likelihood of being a sky color for each pixel of the low pass filtered image. The low-pass filtered image is filtered based upon a user selection to selectively enhance the sky color. The low-pass filtered image and the filtered low-pass filtered image are blended based upon the user selection based upon the likelihood. The blended image is combined with a high pass filtered input image to provide an enhanced image.
