    Abstract: A driving device of a Light Emitting Diode (LED) and a lighting apparatus using the same are provided. The driving device of the LED is adapted for receiving an Alternating Current (AC) power source adjusted by a dimmer and a transformer unit, and includes a dimming driving unit and a voltage multiplier unit. The dimming driving unit receives a driving Direct Current (DC) power source produced by the voltage multiplier unit, so as to drive and adjust the brightness of a light source of an LED unit. The voltage multiplier unit multiplies the AC power source according to a power specification of the dimming driving unit, so as to transform and supply the driving DC power source to the dimming driving unit, and thus flicker on the light source of the LED unit can be avoided during dimming.

    Abstract: A driving device of light emitting diode (LED) and a lighting apparatus using the same are provided. The diving device is adapted for receiving an AC power adjusted by a dimmer and a transformer unit, and includes a dimming match circuit, a voltage conversion unit, and a driver IC. The dimming match circuit receives the AC power and equalize the energy of a positive and a negative half cycles of the AC power, so as to produce a symmetrical AC power. The voltage conversion unit is coupled to the dimming match circuit, and receives and converts the symmetrical AC power into a stable DC power. The driver IC is coupled to the voltage conversion unit, and receives the stable DC power to drive and adjust the light intensity of an LED unit, and thus flicking of the light source of the LED unit can be avoided during dimming.

    Abstract: A module and method capable of dynamically adjusting the focus position for reading optical discs are described. The method includes: initializing the focus position; accessing data of the optical disk; determining whether an error occurred during data access; and dynamically adjusting the focus position. The module includes an optical drive unit, a detector and a control unit. The control unit includes a drive circuit, a sampler, a dynamic adjustment module and a microprocessor. The optical drive unit includes a light generator, a beam director, a focusing element, a mover and a relative mover. When the optical drive unit receives the signals reflected from the defect portion of the optical disk, the signals is passed to the detector to form an error signal, which is passed to the sampler to produce a sample signal and pass the sample signal to the dynamic adjustment module for adjusting the focus position.
