Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure are directed to an approach for training a multivariate time series forecasting model using linear regression and ARIMA. The training may be performed by accessing data stored in a data warehouse using structure query language commands. The disclosure further provides for forecasting utilizing the trained model.

Abstract: An electronic device that has a host device, includes: a positioning processing portion that positions the host device based on a signal from a satellite; and a positioning control portion that performs a back positioning control operation of intermittently performing the positioning as back positioning in a specific time period including an off-period in which power of the host device is off Here, the positioning control portion compares a time difference between a time when a preceding round of positioning is successfully performed with respect to a starting time of the specific time period and the starting time of the specific time period with a predetermined first reference time, and prevents a start of the back positioning control operation when the time difference is equal to or more than the first reference time.

A device information reception unit acknowledges from the imaging device the identification information of the imaging device via a network. A device information examination unit directs an image to be captured when the identification information acknowledged by the LOST registration request reception unit and the identification information acknowledged by the device information reception unit match. An imaged data reception unit acknowledges the image. An imaged data transmission unit transmits the image.

Abstract: A content receiver receives content data distributed repeatedly from a distribution station. The content data are stored in a content storage. A reproduction processing unit sequentially reproduces parts of the content data stored in the storage corresponding to content data received by the content receiver. A content management unit monitors the degree of completion of the content data stored. When the monitored degree of completion becomes a preset level or above, a connection processing unit disconnects connection to the distribution station. After the connection has been disconnected, an identifier receiver receives reproduction information informed from the distribution station. The reproduction processing unit reproduces the content data according to the reproduction information.

Abstract: A content transmitter distributes contents. An update information management unit manages update information on the update of the contents distributed by the content transmitter. An identifier generator generates notifying identifiers containing the update information managed by the update information management unit. The update information contains the update time of each content or a time period until each content is updated. A network detection unit detects the number of servers and the number of other players in operation on the network. A receiving control unit selects, as a communication scheme used between the player and the targeted server, any one of a scheme where a push-based communication is fixedly used, a scheme where a pull-based communication is fixedly used and a scheme where the push-based communication and the pull-based communication are dynamically switched, based on the number of servers and the number of other players detected by the network detection unit. A contents receiver receives the contents transmitted by the targeted server according to a selected result.
