  • Publication number: 20240189979
Abstract: The present application relates to devices that assist the human trunk, and provides a device for human trunk assistance, which includes: a trunk link (1), coupled to an upper back of a user through back straps (2); two thigh links (3), coupled to left and right thighs of the user through leg straps (4) respectively; two hip joint hinges (5), placed align to left and right hip joints of the user respectively, and configured for rotatably coupling the trunk link (1) and the two thigh links (3); and a torque generator (6), coupling to the two hip joint hinges (5) through Bowden cables (7), and configured to generate an assist torque to reduce moment burden to the user.

  • Publication number: 20240173846
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device for assisting an upper arm of a user, which includes: a support mechanism configured for supporting the device on a torso of the user; an arm link member connectable to the upper arm: a joint member coupled with the arm link member and the support mechanism, and a force generating member arranged on the support mechanism. The device, in use, transfers a load from the upper arm, through the joint member to the torso. The force generating member is configured for providing a resisting torque between the arm link member and support mechanism, and the force generating member is mechanically configured to apply a relatively larger resisting torque at a predetermined range of motion of the upper arm and to apply a relatively lesser resisting torque outside the predetermined range.

  • Patent number: 11162227
Abstract: A boltless fastener assembly for a heavy haul railway with an axle load of 35-40 tons includes a pre-embedded steel holder, an e-clip, an insulated gauge block and a rubber pad. A clamping leg-heel end of the e-clip is provided with an L-shaped retaining end. The pre-embedded steel holder is improved to adapt to the e-clip, and an opening is formed at a portion of the pre-embedded steel holder close to the clamping leg-heel end of the e-clip, so that the e-clip can be installed normally. During normal installation, the L-shaped retaining end of the e-clip does not contact the pre-embedded steel holder. When the rail undergoes large torsional deformation, the L-shaped retaining end on one side of a rail moves upward to contact an upper edge of the opening of the pre-embedded steel holder or engages with a second heel end.

  • Patent number: 6540039
Abstract: A wheel base or mobile platform providing omnidirectional motion and control. At least two offset wheel assemblies are coupled to a platform that supports a load. Each offset wheel assembly has two wheels that share a common axis and a mechanical link that is pivotally coupled to a pivot point on the rigid platform and supports the two wheels in such a manner that the common axis is displaced from the pivot point. The common axis of the wheels is free to rotate about an axis parallel to the planes of rotation of the wheels. The platform may be turned in any direction specified by a user from any instantaneous configuration or velocity in accordance with a method uniquely specifying a torque to be applied to each of the wheels while each of the wheels is in rolling motion.
